Chapter 42 - Objection!

- Hours Later - Mall - Liza POV -

I smile giddily as Bucky parks the car outside the mall. Bjorg walking over my body to stand in the center console. Currently donning an inconspicuous disguise as a light grey Great Dane. A colorful vest wrapped around his body, letting everyone know that he's a service dog.. Because he practically is. He can do more than a normal dog can.

"Alright. We're here.. Now, even though we're all wearing disguising clothing. Someone may still recognize us-" Bucky speaks only to be interrupted by Bjorg.

"Do not worry. They shan't lay a hand on her." Bjorg speaks up, turning to look at Bucky as I open the door to let him hop out. Quickly moving out of the car as well.

"As I was saying.. Don't worry about it doll. We're here to have fun." Bucky smiles as he locks the car up, holding his covered metal arm out to me. I loop my arm through it with a smile, the three of us walking to the mall. Bjorg ahead of the pack, keeping an eye out.. Now that he has some.

The three of us walk inside, the cold air of the AC blasting us. Making both me and Bucky shiver slightly while Loki sighs softly. Bjorg steps forward and takes a look around, his nose wiggling as he sniffs. "So, anywhere specific you wanna go doll? Today's all about you."

"The PetSmart! I wanna see the hamsters!" I grin widely, excited to see the animals. Loki smiles at me before we begin to walk towards the store. Bjorg making sure to walk ahead of us, eyes scanning the area constantly. Just having Bjorg here is easing my anxiety.. I wish Betsha or Proc could come.. But I just want to be with my boys.

Walking inside I walk past the fish and rush straight to the cages. Stopping in front of the hamsters I smile as I see them run on their wheels. "Man.. this makes me miss my hamsters.."

"You had hamsters?" Bucky asks as Loki steps beside me, looking at the small creatures.

"Yeah! My first ones name was Puffy Clouds, we called her Poofy. I got the name from an old Yogscast YouTube video.. But Poof got out of her cage even though I duck taped and super glued everything shut.. She was a Houdini hamster.. Then my mom got the bright idea to get another one to 'show Poofy that she has a friend.'.. She just wanted me to get distracted by the new one.. I named her Zelda... She escaped too."

"These creatures seem awfully clever.." Loki leans closer to the glass, staring at a small grey dwarf hamster that walks up. Putting his tiny paw on the glass, staring right at Loki.

"They are.. they really are.. I loved them so much." I smile as step away, walking around the corner to take a look at the chinchillas. The familiar stink of Ferret musk filling my nose.

Loki stares down at the small creature and walks away for a moment while me and Bucky look at the fluff balls. "Gosh, they're so fluffy." Bucky kneels down so he can get a better look.

"Fun fact. Chinchilla hair is so dense, that if it gets wet it could grow mold. That's why they dust themselves instead of bathing with water." Ah, gotta love good old useless information..

"When I was a kid.. All we had for pets was some strays I fed when I could.. Nothing as exotic as this." Bucky stands back up, just as Loki walks around the corner holding a small box.. with air holes.

"Loki?" I glance down at the box.

"I have decided to purchase the small rodent that approached me." Loki smiles to me. "Can you help me sort out his living space? I do not know much about these creatures as you do."
