Steve and I end up getting Taco Bell at the food court. After we get our food we find a table and he says " your a really good dancer. How long have been dancing?" "Thanks! And... honestly for as long as I can remember. Although I usually don't dance with the group if their all in pairs." I answer. "Why not?" He asks.
( third person pov)
"Why not?" Steve asks "well... I feel like the person you dance with, you should be able to trust more than anyone. I know this sounds cheesy but i believe everyone just needs the right partner." Ava answers. Her words hit Steve and not only is he taken back by her statement, he wants to know more about her.
"That's not cheesy at all." Steve replies. "So... how is catching up on everything you missed going?" Ava asks. "Well I've missed seventy years so... slow." Steve replies, they both laugh quietly then Ava says " ok so have you at least seen any current shows or at least the awesome ninety's shows?".
"No I mostly watch the news. figure it's the best way to catch up." he replies "well your wrong. The best way to catch up is by watching shows on Netflix." Ava replies. "What's Netflix?" Steve asks "wow..... it really is going slow." Ava replies "it's a website, most people have the app. it's where people can watch a thousand different moves or tv shows." She continues.
"Huh... sounds interesting." Steve says. it's silent for a moment then Ava says "ok just had a genius moment." Steve laughs and Ava continues " don't laugh at my genius moment! Anyway you have plans tonight?" "No why?" Steve asks "good your coming over and were binge watching movies and tv shows you've missed out on." She declares.
"Sounds fun." Steve says "then it's a date." Ava says.
( Ava's pov)
After we both get home from the mall I get changed before Steve comes over. I take off the dress and hang it in my closet. I then change into pajama bottoms, a tank top and throw on my bunny slippers. Yes I'm twenty one and I own a pair of bunny slippers... don't judge me!
After a few minutes I hear a knock on the door "coming!" I shout and I answer the door "long time no see." I joke as I let Steve in. "Why are you dressed in pajamas? It's twelve o'clock." He asks "I warned you that it would be a long night. Plus I told you to dress comfy didn't I?" I answer. "Ok point taken." He says as he enters my apartment.
"You can have a seat on the couch. I'm just gonna make some popcorn." I say. Once the popcorn is done I add butter and salt then go at on the couch next to Steve. I turn on the tv and the Xbox and say "so the nineties played a big part in the childhood of people our age so I thought we'd start with that." "You do know we're not the same age right?" Steve asks.
I sigh "your only as old as you feel. so do you feel like someone in their eighties or someone in their twenties?" I ask "twenties." he replies "then guess what that makes you a twenty year who's missed out on the ninety's." I say. I open up Netflix and select a show " first up one of my personal favorites.... fresh prince of bel air!" I say and start the video.
( Steve's pov)
By the time we get through five seasons it's getting late an I notice Ava getting tired. "It's getting late I should get going. " I say. I look over to find her already asleep. I laugh to myself then carry her to her bed. Once she's in bed I leave and go to bed myself.
