To Love an Avenger ( captain America/ Steve Rogers fanfic )

Competition day

The teen class has their first competition today and I've invited Steve and all the Avengers to come watch if they have the time. I meet the girls at the dance studio in the morning to get some last minute practice before the competition.

After their last minute practice the girls get dressed in their costumes and we all leave for the competition. When we arrive at the venue we sign in and head backstage. "Ok guys I'm going to sit in the audience. When they call your name your up. Good luck! I'll see you when they announce the winners at the end." I say and go take my seat in the audience.

I go find a seat and see Steve and the rest of the averages and join them."hey you guys made it!" I say as I reach them. I take a seat next to Steve as we all great each other "Ava this is Pepper." Tony says as he introduces me to who I'm assuming is his girlfriend. "Hi I'm Ava nice to meet you Pepper." I say. "Nice to meet you too. Steve has told me so much about you." she replies. "Nothing bad I hope." I say we laugh and she replies "no nothing bad. All good!".

"Thank you all for coming it means a lot." I say to all of them. "Well I need to what I'm up against if I plan to have a dance off with you at some point." Clint says, I laugh and say " oh Clint, I've already won." "we'll see about that." He replies. The lights dim and the first group comes out on stage. After a few groups have preformed the girls from my studio are announced and come on stage.

I became nervous and I don't know why. I have every confidence they will do great but still I'm nervous. Steve notices this "they'll do great." He reassures me. I nod and smile as the music begins to play and the girls begin to dance. They do great and everyone applauds. I smile as I applaud. "I'll see you guys after I have to meet up with the girls." I say before leaving "see you after." Steve says.

I meet up with the girls "you guys did amazing!" I say all of them get excited and say "it's all thanks to you." "your came up with the dance." another girl says. "True only I wasn't the one performing it." I reply. They're all excited, not caring if they win or lose. Their just happy they had fun.

About two more groups preform before all the competitors are on the stage waiting for the results of the competition. Forth place is called, then third, then second and my heart starts to break for these girls. They put in so much effort into this competition. although all that matters is that they had fun. "In first place....... the Thomson dance studio!" The announcer says. That's my dance studio! They got first place! The audience claps and cheers. And I couldn't be any happier that they won their first competition.

We all jump and scream in excitement and hug each other. The girls go and accept their trophy. After the results are announced they meet up with their parents and I meet up with the avengers. "Congratulations!" They all say as I walk towards them. "Thanks!" I reply with a huge smile on my face.

" we're all going to get food, you guys are welcome to come if you want." I say "I'm in." Tony says "me too." Steve says " sure I'm free." Natasha says. "What kind of food?" Clint asks "the kind you eat." I reply "love that kind. I'm in." he says and I giggle at his response. "sorry but have to get back to the lab maybe another time." Bruce says. " Ok see you around." I say as he leaves. " You coming Pepper?" I ask "sure I could eat." she says. "Awesome! lets go."

I tell them where were all going and we all decide to meet up there. Everyone leaves but I stop Steve before he gets the chance to "Hey Steve did you drive here?" I ask. "Yeah why?" "Do you think you could give me a ride? I took a cab here and I don't have enough money on my to get to the restaurant." I ask. "Yeah no problem." "thanks I owe you..... I say that a lot don't I?" We laugh and we leave for the restaurant.

When we get outside I see he drove a motorcycle. I've never been on one before... well theirs a first time for everything right? He hops on the bike and I sit behind him. He hands me a helmet before we leave, once we start to move I wrap my arms around his waist so I don't fall off.

( Steve's pov)

We take off on the bike and Ava wraps her arms around my waits for support. I feel her grip getting tighter so I ask "first time on a motorcycle?" "Yeah." she answers I laugh and she says "how could you tell?" "Your grip on my waits keeps getting tighter." "Sorry." she says. "Don't worry about it. We're almost there." I say.

For some reason I don't want her to let go. I want to stay like this for as long as I can. But we soon reach our destination and see the others waiting outside.
