Ch. 38

Sarada POV
It's so cold here. I miss him. I miss Boruto. I miss my friends. My family! I just want to go home.

I couldn't fight back since the guy who took me pretty much knocked me out as soon as he came into the room. I don't know how he got there nor what he looks like.

He was wearing a black hood but I could see his eyes. They were blue like Boruto's, but not the same blue. They were a dark color of blue and they were beautiful.

I was still in my pajamas from last night and all I hear is screaming all night; but I have no idea where it's coming from.

The one who has me hostage keeps me inside of a cell made of brick and old, rusted metal. I don't know if I would be able to punch my way through.

Boruto... wherever you are. Please, save me.

Boruto POV
We've been walking for 25 minutes now and nobody has said a word.

"Is everyone doing okay this morning?" I ask.

I get a few "mhm" and some head nods. Yeah... I have no idea what's wrong with them today.

But at the same time, I'm not sure if I really care about that right now. I'm just focused on finding and retrieving Sarada.

After a few minutes, someone speaks up.

"How much longer?" Kai asked.

I chuckle and reply, "Not long. It should only take us ten more minutes to get there. Why do you ask?"

Kai looks at the ground and never moves his gaze. "Well... because I don't want anything to happen to Sarada. I hope she's safe." I can tell that he really cares a lot about her.

"Yeah, I'm worried about her too. I miss her. And I hear that it's all my fault that she's gone. If I just would've stayed up with- never mind. Shoot. Did I over share?

The trip gets silent again but soon enough, we arrive at a strange looking castle.

There was a camera in the corner of the gates and a voice pad. A beeping sound goes off and then someone speaks through the pad.

"Boruto Uzumaki. Look who came back for their Uchiha princess." I'm assuming it's the man who took her.

"Where is she?" I demanded in a yelling voice.

The man over the microphone chuckled and said, "What's my name?" He never told us his name. I'm confused?

"We don't know your name!" I shouted back to him.

"No need to yell "Young Lord". I told you on the paper." And with that said, the voice pad turned off and the voice went away.

I heard Mitsuki making rustling noises so I turned around and saw him unfolding a note.

"Boruto! Look! Do you remember the note that he left? He left his name. But, his name is in symbols." Mitsuki is so clever with these things!

All of the kids look towards the paper to try and figure out his name.

This was so confusing to me. It's killing me!

"Lips, apple, watermelon, apple, lips, exclamation point? I don't get it." Kai said.

Sage moved towards the note and said, "I don't think he wants us to think of the actual items. Maybe he means the first letter or something?"
