A/N: the beginning of this chapter is going to be focused on what Mitsuki and Luka were doing during their time alone.

Mitsuki POV
Luka and I have been walking for a while now. So far, we've discussed my life and pretty much the same thing that he told the group when he had to speak out about his personal life at home.

I really want to ask about how he feels about not having a mother figure in the home. Maybe that's something that we could relate to. I've always wanted to have a mother.

Another topic that I am dying to bring up is him and Akari because the obvious tension that is going on is crazy. And, ever since she showed an interest in Boruto, there's been a love triangle.

Luka reflected a positive aura. I can't explain it but I can feel his energy.

"Can I ask you a question?" I asked. Luka turned his head towards me and said, "Sure. We're here together to ask questions if necessary, right?"

I nodded my head and asked my question. "How does it feel not having a mother figure at home?"

Luka said nothing at first. He was hesitant to speak out about it. "Why do you ask?" Was the first thing that he said.

"Because... because I always wonder how it would feel to have a mother. I always feel like I'm missing a certain type of love and affection in my life. My father doesn't show me much affection so I don't know what it feels like to truly be loved." I said

"I feel that way too. My dad has always been so hard on me. He tried to raise me to tough like a man but unfortunately, I inherited more of my personality from my mom.

So instead of me being a major jock who loved sports, I was a soft and friendly kid who loved to do nothing but draw." Luka said

"I see. My father had never really had high expectations for me. The only thing that he expected from me was to never unleash my sage mode." I replied.

"Wait... you have sage mode?" Luka asked with a shocked expression. "Yes, but don't tell the others." I said in a serious tone.

Luka nodded and we continued to walk without any words being exchanged.

Narrator POV
M: "Do you have a crush on anyone?"

L: "W- What?! Why do you ask that so suddenly?"

M: "I don't know maybe because it's obvious?"

L: "It is?"

M: "Mhm."

L: "Ok fine... I have a crush on Akari."

M: "I know. But, what do you see in her?"

L: "She's just... I don't know. We have been friends only for a year or two but I somehow feel like I have known her for forever. On the outside she may not seem like the nicest person but I know the real her."

M: "Why don't you just tell her how you feel?"

L: "You see, I was going to do it the day that we all came across the lab but as you know, we all got powers and... yeah. It just wasn't a good time."

M: "I see. Well, all of the experiment stuff is over with and you are going to have to sleep in the same room as her tonight."

L: "Yeah, I thought about that. And I was going to admit my feelings after all of this stuff was over but then you guys came and now she only has eyes for blondie."

M: "Boruto?"

L: "Yeah, him."

M: "Uh, you do know that Boruto and Sarada are like... a thing, right?"
