Narrator POV
"Boruto!" Sakura exclaims, alarming Boruto. He jolted up out of his seat and had a shocked look on how face. "Sarada can now have guests now but she is asleep. I think you should be the first one to see her."Boruto POV
Those words filled my entire body with joy but I was also feeling a bit anxious to see her. What if she's badly injured? No. I can't allow myself to think like that. I just hope that everything is okay. Sakura and I are slowly approaching the door to Sarada's room as my heart rate beats out of my chest. Finally, Sakura opens the door and I slowly walk into the room to see Sarada. She's asleep and looks quite well but there is a bandage on her shoulder."What were the injuries?" I ask Sakura. She only had a deep wound on her shoulder. Everything else was just scratches, blood, and dirt spread across her body. Overall, she is doing pretty well and since today is Wednesday, she will be able to go home Friday morning" Sakura whispers back to me.
I look back over at Sarada to see her moving in her sleep, switching positions. I slowly walk towards her bed as I hear Sakura whispering, "I'll give you some time alone with her". She then leaves the room, shutting the door behind her. I sit in the chair next to Sarada's bed as I stare at her in awe. She starts to tremble and whimper in her sleep. I assume she's having a nightmare. I have to let her know that it's okay and she is not alone. I hold her hand with my right hand and play with her soft, black hair with my left hand. The trembling stops and she squeezes onto my hand while forming a smile on her face in her sleep.
I look over at the clock hanging on the wall behind me to check the time. It's almost 11pm. I have to go soon so that I don't worry my mom and Hima.
I look back at Sarada and gaze at her sweet, precious smile. I slowly let go of her hand and her smile fades away. The trembling starts again and she reaches her hand out closer to mine. I have to stay or else Sarada won't be able to sleep peacefully.
I look around the room and find a small coffee table with two couch chairs beside it. That sparked an idea.
I walk over to the coffee table and manage to carry it across the room, next to the chair I was sitting in before. I then go back to the couch chairs to grab one pillow from each of the two chairs. I place one of the pillow behind my head as I lay the upper half of my body onto the chair beside Sarada's bed. I place the other pillow on top of the coffee table so that I can rest the bottom half of my body.
It only took me a few minutes to get comfortable and I take grip of Sarada's hands once more, making her trembling stop again. I plot my plan for the next morning. I'm only going to stay until around 5am so that I can sneak out of the window and get home so that my parents don't worry about me in the morning.
After five minutes of laying down, my eyes got heavy and the last thing that I saw was the love of my life, holding me hand in her sleep.
The Next Morning
Sakura POVI walk into Sarada's hospital room to check on her. It's 9am, she should be awake by now. As I slowly enter the room, I see Boruto laying down on a chair next to Sarada while holding her hand. How cute!
I giggle and exit the room, closing the door as quietly as I can, trying not to wake them up. I walk out into the waiting room to see Hinata and Himawari sitting in two chairs with a concerned look on their face.
