Welcome to the first actual chapter of this book! The type of POV is a little bit different, but I promise that's only temporary while Julie gives the backstory. There will be a little bit of overlap with Apollo's Prophecy, so if you haven't read that book, I highly recommend reading it first since it's the first book of the series! Thank you to all of my amazing readers that have waited patiently for this this book. I hope I don't disappoint and you look forward to the weekly updates. Let me know what you think and don't forget to vote if you enjoy it! See you next week. - Amy

It's funny how easily you can forget about something important when you're busy studying for a final exam. Clubbing in Mykonos had been on my travel wish list since I was sixteen years old. Several years ago when my parents signed my brother, Marcus, and I up for a mythology course in Greece, I knew I couldn't turn down the opportunity since it was the one condition for them to finance my travels and it would make my clubbing dreams come true.
While I didn't care for the subject of Greek mythology, or know anything about it, it sounded a lot more fun than the other courses available in the international brochure I'd found on my father's desk. It was also nice that I'd already have the equivalent of two courses out of the way once I returned from my travels to go to university since I'd be starting later than Marcus.
I still remember it like it was yesterday. My best friend, Danika, was what you could call an unintentional brown-noser. She never did it on purpose, but the poor girl always went out of her way when it came to school work. She always handed assignments in early if she had the chance and never took a break from studying for a test. She often stayed behind after class to talk to our professor, despite being the top student, but now I know it wasn't to talk about assignments, but we'll get to that later.
Marcus and I, on the other hand, couldn't be fussed with school. Now, that doesn't mean we were bad at it—we were actually quite smart and did fairly well considering we never did homework or studied. Sure, we could've easily been straight A students if we'd tried, but it didn't really matter. Danika's work ethic certainly rubbed off on us since she was our roommate during the mythology course, which is why Marcus and I were both shocked when she announced that we were going to quit studying for the night and go clubbing.
It was like something physically clicked in my brain. We're in Mykonos. I'd almost forgotten where we were, and my dream of clubbing in Mykonos was finally within arms reach. Leave it to Danika to rub off on me to the point of forgetting something like that.
After quickly getting ready and discovering that Danika had been hiding her hot body from us under loose-fitting clothes, we joined some other classmates in a large taxi and made our way to one of Mykonos' most famous clubs.
I still remember how excited I was when we got there. "I've been to a lot of clubs, but none of them were this cool. This is going to be fucking awesome!" I yelled, making Danika laugh. Poor thing had never been to a real club before. In New Zealand the drinking age is eighteen instead of nineteen, unlike where Danika lived in Canada. That's only one reason. In reality, Danika was way too innocent to actually use a fake ID. At least in Greece we were all legal and could enjoy it without any concerns.
After downing our vodka-sodas and letting loose on the dance floor for a little bit, I spotted our mythology professor.
"Oh my God," I yelled at Danika. "Dr. Evantin is here and there's a really hot guy with him."
Danika turned around quickly and looked almost shellshocked for a moment. She refused to admit it, but Marcus and I knew she has a huge crush on Dr. Evantin. Don't get me wrong, he's super hot, but the friend he had with him was just my type. Tall, blonde and confident.
