Long weekends really mess with my sense of time! I forgot it was a Monday yesterday so I'm uploading this a day late for the second long weekend in a row! I don't have much to say so I'll leave you with a question: If you could be the god/goddess of something, what would it be? You can pick something there's already a god for! I hope you enjoy, don't forget to vote if you do and I'll see you next week! -Amy

Julie took Monday off as a personal day, knowing she would be useless at work after everything that had happened a few days prior, both to her and to Marcus. She had hung out with Danika and Melinoë in the underworld the day before and came up with a plan on confronting Hamish. At the time she felt confident, but was surprised at how difficult it was to send a seemingly-normal text to human-disguised god, setting up what he thought would be a lunch date. His name in her phone was already changed to an especially vulgar word and she couldn't wait until she could block it. After all, every last picture of him had been permanently deleted.
Julie managed to keep herself together after picking herself up and going next door to her brother's place, spending the rest of the day with him, despite Marcus not speaking more than a handful of words. He hadn't been improving, so when Julie woke up to a text from Melinoë asking if they could talk, she immediately asked the goddess to come over.
The Goddess of Ghosts wasn't the type to reach out to friends simply to hang out and that day wasn't an exception. Melinoë, the only person Marcus was somewhat speaking to, had thought of something to help him feel better, but as one of the most self-conscious goddesses in Olympus, she wanted to run it by Julie first.
"That's actually a really good idea," Julie smiled.
Melinoë's eyes widened. "You really think so? You don't think it might make things worse?"
Julie shook her head. "The worst has already happened, Mel. At the very least this will give him the closure he needs and only time will heal the wounds."
The goddess let out a deep breath. "Ok. I'll do it then." Melinoë stood up and walked toward the window, the sun almost reflecting off her milky-white skin. "I've already asked if she'd consider speaking with him and she agreed after I explained how hard he's been handling everything. I just need to convince him to clean himself up enough so he's presentable."
"Will you say hi for me?" Julie asked her friend.
Melinoë nodded. "I will. I'll let Danika know as well and I'll tell you both later today if she says anything."
Julie made her way over to the goddess and pulled her into a hug. "This means a lot to me, Mel. I know it'll mean the world to Marcus as well. Thank you."
"I just want him to be happy," Melinoë smiled at Julie. "Good luck today," she said before disappearing next door where Marcus was likely sulking in bed or on the couch.
Julie sighed before making her way upstairs to get ready for her 'lunch date' with Hamish. While most of her thoughts surrounded her brother and how Melinoës plan would work, she found herself wondering how Hamish would react to her confrontation. Will he try denying it? Maybe he'll use his powers to make me believe him, Julie thought as she applied a light face of makeup. I'll let Danika know I'm going to talk to him just to be safe.
After a poor attempt at starting the car due to her hand shaking so much, Julie decided it would be better to call a car to bring her to the bistro instead. The adrenaline running through her veins would not mix well with driving a car with as much power as hers.
The entire car ride consisted of Julie rehearsing what she would say in her head as the driver unknowingly spoke to himself. When they arrived, Julie flashed the driver a smile and gave him a perfect rating on the app before getting out and staring at the familiar building. "You can do this," she mumbled to herself before neutralizing her face and walking toward the bistro.
