It was a stormy night as thunder boomed loudly in the night sky. Two evolutions were running through the forest in the storm. A Flareon and A Leafeon each were carrying a young Eevee. One was a shiny female named Vera while the other was a normal male named Shade.
They were being chased by a pack of Mightyena who had discovered their den and attacked, destroying their home in an attempt to kill them.

Vera's POV

I closed my eyes as raindrops showered my whole body. I could hear howling and barking as they chased us, feeling stiff with fear. I was completely drenched from the rain and cold as the harsh wind kept blowing through my sliver fur, making me shiver. I let out a yelp when I saw a bright yellow bolt flash in the sky.
"Mom, where are we going?!" I asked, feeling scared as we approached a small burrow that was well hidden underneath a tree and she put me down beside my brother. "Both of you go inside and hide. Don't come out until you know it's safe." She ordered.
"....Aren't you and Dad coming in with us?" I asked but she shook her head. "There isn't enough room for us...." I began tearing up. "Wait... Where are you and Dad going then?" My dad frowned. "To find cover for us to hide... But don't worry Vera your brother will keep you safe.." My brother Shade began crying: "Please don't leave us!"
Suddenly there was a loud crash as lighting flashed in the sky and the wind started getting very intense. Suddenly we could hear the Mightyena getting closer as they howled. "Hurry up! Both of you get inside!" Mom yelled.
Before I could argue, my mother pushed me in with my brother and then fled with my dad.
I cuddled close to him, feeling scared as we both watched the storm in silence from the back of the hollow. A few minutes later, both Shade and I could hear the sound of several paw steps as the pack ran right by us, completely unaware of our hidden spot.
I buried my face into Shade's brown fur and he hugged me. "It's ok little sis.... We'll find them tomorrow...." Shade whispered, trying to reassure me, but even I could tell he was just as frightened as I was. Soon enough, my eyelids became heavy and I eventually drifted off to sleep.

The following morning came, and we both woke up as the sunlight shone through the entrance, hitting our faces. We both climbed out of the hollow to see the forest. It was a terrible mess due to the previous storm. My stomach gave way to my anxiety since Mom and Dad were still gone.
I glanced over at Shade. "Shade, What do we do?" I asked. He frowned, looking unsure of himself before letting out a deep, sigh. "Come on, let's see if we can find them. We can't stay here, those Mightyena might still be around."
I followed him cautiously as we explored the forest, in search of our missing parents.

Narrator's POV

They never did find their parents, and little did Vera and Shade know that they'd be venturing together, parentless.

Nolan's story

Three little Eevee were playing in the forest near the beach where a huge shimmery ocean lay. This is the story of Nolan, the youngest Eevee of all three brothers. I yelped suddenly when Conan, my oldest brother, pinned me. "Haha got you! You're a little wimp, you know that?" Conan laughed and I growled. "Am not! Get off me Conan! Harvey, help me!" I whimper, looking at my second older brother Harvey.
Harvey pinned his ears back and scoffs: "Ha! No way! You need to fight your own battles!" Conan scoffs "Yeah!" I slowly stood up and shook my head.
"You're no fun Nolan. You're nothing but a coward who can't fight." Conan said, standing beside Harvey. I frowned. "Just because I'm smaller doesn't mean I'm a wimp! I'm not scared of anything!" I declared, puffing out my chest, but then they both started laughing like I said something funny. My ears drooped sadly. I hated it when our parents left me alone with these two because they always bullied me and made fun of me, all because I wanted to evolve into a Vaporeon. Our parents are Vaporeon, and they lived in a huge Vaporeon tribe in the ocean. After hearing stories about the Vaporeons, I've been intrigued and now my goal is to become a Vaporeon so I can join the Vaporeon tribe!
'What do they have against Vaporeon anyway..?' I thought, but then Conan snarled: "Are you thinking of the yucky ocean again?!"
"What's so wrong with the ocean?" I asked with a Sigh. "Everything! There's slimy seaweed everywhere and gross disgusting fish Mon!" Conan scolded. "I bet you can't wait to get your gills. That way you can go live in the ocean and be an ugly fish Mon. You belong in the ocean!" They both laughed, mocking me.
"Better than becoming a gross dirty plant!" I hissed. They suddenly stopped laughing and Harvey now looked mad. "What did you just call me?"
"A plant Mon! Leafeon literally has leaves for ears! Maybe you should go live in a garden somewhere. It's where you belong!" I retorted, which I now regret that they were towering over me. "Now you're in for it!" Harvey shouted at me, but I was already running. Unfortunately for me, they both gained on me and Conan tackled me, pinning me to the ground. I whined as they both started hitting me, using their moves.
I used Swift and it hit Conan. He let out a growl and clawed my ear, drawing blood. I gasped, staring at him in shock as my left ear now had a rip near the top of it.
'He just gave me a scar...'
I felt upset and hurt and Conan kept me pinned down. "Take that back before I rip your other ear."
I said nothing, both because I was too scared and I didn't want to say anything until I got a proper apology.
Conan snarled at me. "Why you little fish Mon. Say something!"
Harvey hit me with swift then hissed in frustration when I stayed quiet. He sighed in defeat.
"Come on Conan. If we keep beating him, he'll go crying to Mom like he always does. Plus, that rip in his ear is satisfying enough.
With a grunt, Conan got off me and he and Harvey padded away, leaving me alone. My body trembled in pain from the several bruises they had given me, but I pushed myself into a sitting position.
I sat alone for a bit, feeling depressed. I didn't want to go back to the den. Not with Harvey and Conan around. Not if they were going to make fun of me and hurt me the way they always do.
'I'm almost old enough to evolve... Just a few moons away....'
I made my decision as I slowly stood up. I wasn't going back home. I didn't want to see my two brothers ever again.
I ran, heading deeper into the forest. 'I'll show them who's the real wimp once I evolve.'
