Vera's P.O.V.

I was running away as fast as I could move wanting to get a good distance away from Solstice. I had never felt more creeped out by him, and it was now obvious to me that he was stalking me. I mean I never did tell him that I was seeing Nolan. And then I remembered seeing him earlier today at the Coffee shop, he had been sitting at the table right behind our booth. 'I had not once ever seen him go there by himself before he had been stalking me,
I shiver as I slow down the pace and start walking. I glance behind my shoulder to see the street was empty and quiet, with no signs of Solstice anywhere. I pause feeling disappointed wondering what happened to Nolen.
'Did he really bail on me? Then another thought hits me. 'I really don't think he would do that. What if Solstice did something to him?
I pause in my tracks and turn around deciding to go check and see if he might be at the beach.
As I'm walking back the way I came I take a different route not wanting to go by the water fountain again. I wanted to stay clear of Solstice.
Then I found myself at the town entrance and pad outside, once I reached the beach area I have a look around and to my disappointment, it was deserted, and empty the only Mons in sight that I could see were Sandygast and Palossand.
Then I got scared seeing some tall Palossands moving around and realized that the beach is not a safe place to be at night. I backed away slowly then a disturbing thought came to mind.
'What if they got Nolan? I wouldn't even know because his body would be deep in the sand somewhere.
"Hey!" A voice called out making me jump in fear as an Arcanine came running toward me. "The beach is off-limits at night! Don't you know about the deadly ghost types that lurk around?" He asked. I shook my head.
"Come on let's get you back to town." I followed him back. "What are you doing out this late anyway?" He asked. "I... I was looking for my friend we were supposed to meet up at the beach." He paused looking concerned.
"Ugg what we're you two thinking? Meeting up at the beach at Nightfall is a death wish, you go home now I have to go and see if I can find him, I don't want to scare you but there's a good chance he's dead if what you said is true, It's dangerous to go out at night because Ghost types are worse than dark types, but I'll see what I can do." I watch as he left town once again. I start to feel uncomfortable as there was an unsettling mist in town as I walked through it. As I'm walking I can't stop worrying about Nolan I hope he's safe where ever he is, I feel foolish I should have known that the beach would be full of ghost types. As I'm walking down the path I glance at the street lights and notice inside the glass they each had a small mystical flame inside. I knew they were there to keep the ghost types out of town because they hate the mystical light and they could get burned by it. At least I can feel safe walking down the main road. As I approach my house a piece of paper stuck to my paw. I lifted my paw to see it was a note. I get shivers knowing it was Soltice who wrote this. I go inside and run up to my brother's room. 'I can't do this! I can't live right next door to a stalker!'
"Shade?" I called as I got to his room. He opened the door. "Vera, what's wrong?"
I hugged him and started to tremble a little.
"Shade I don't want to live here anymore, could we please find a different house?" He looked shocked. "What! Why are you asking that?"
"I don't want to stay here anymore Solstice is stalking me," Now the Umbreon looked mad.
"Did he now?" he growled. "Look don't worry about it, Tomorrow I'm gonna give him one last warning to back off!"
"Shade, please don't! I just want to move!"
"We can't Vera! We were lucky enough to get this house." I frowned feeling upset then he hugged me again. "Don't worry about him, I'll handle this, I promise I can make you feel safe again, I can't handle seeing you upset like this, I'll make him want to move instead."
I sighed in defeat and pulled away.
"So what happened with this friend you were supposed to see?" He asked. I frowned "He wasn't at the place we agreed to meet."
"Heh, I knew whoever it was must be no good." He scoffs. "You should get some rest it's late and I bet you must be tired." My mouth slowly gaps open letting out a yawn in response. "Alright, goodnight Shade," I say before going to my room. Once I'm in I close the door and then turn my lamp on so I can read what the note says.
