Steven: I never had any friends, come to my house.
Me: What do you mean?
Steven: When I was a kid. My parents wouldn't allow anyone to come over.
Me: Oh.
Steven: When I was in elementary school, I always got pushed off the swings, during recess. This girl, I don't remember her name. We were in the same grade together. This was in 3rd grade. She moved to Oklahoma, since then.
Me: She didn't seem very nice.
Steven: No. Everytime, during my family reunions, my uncle would tell me to behave myself. And, I would say to him, I am behaving myself. Then, he told me to shut up. I was glad, when he died, though. He died in 1993, of a heart attack. Didn't miss him, then, don't miss him now.
Me: I see. What was his name?
Steven: Bert. I didn't cry at his funeral.
EstherLehcar: You shouldn't speak ill of the dead, Steven. Your uncle may have been a jerk to you, but you should have treated him with more respect. Then, your relationship with him, wouldn't have been so toxic.
Steven: Shut up! You never knew him! He died in 1993, before you were born, so shut it!
EstherLehcar: Whoa, no need to be rude! Jeez!
Steven: I had a rough childhood, okay? In high school, I couldn't find a date for the prom.
Shawn: That was during your teen years, Steven, not your childhood.
Steven: Just saying.
Carter: So, you basically had a rough life?
Steven: Yeah, pretty much.
Trevor: Oh well, that's in the past, man. Time to move on.
Steven: Eh, I guess.
