Samuel: *looking at the stars through his bedroom window*
Mother: Son, it's time for bed. What are you doing?
Samuel: Wishing upon a star.
Mother: Aw, how nice! What's your wish?
Samuel: I wish that Grandma would die.
Mother: Excuse me?
Samuel: I said, I wish that Grandma would die. I hate her so much.
Mother: Samuel Joseph Richards!!! I'm surprised at you! That's a horrible thing to wish on your grandmother!
Samuel: I wanted chocolate chip cookies, but she baked sugar cookies. She's dead to me.
Mother: Samuel, I ought to spank you! Don't you ever wish something like that on her, again! You hear me?
Samuel: Yes, and I'm not sorry.
Mother: *spanks Samuel* Go to sleep!! Good night! *storms out of his room, and slams his door*
Samuel: Didn't hurt. I wish that Grandma would die. I hate her so much. *climbs into bed and drifts off to sleep*
