Ari POV:
After getting to class we all sat in our seats and looked around confused as to why Mr.Matthews was nowhere to be found. He's usually early so when the clock struck one minute late, well we were confused.

"Alright, where's your father?" Lucas asks breaking the silence.

"Are we getting sub? I don't want a sub. You never know where they've been." Farkle says suddenly.

"Will you calm down? He's one minute late. Stop overreacting" Riley responds.

"Yeah but he's never late. Like literally he's never late" I say looking at her.

"What if he never shows up? What if I never learn anything else? I'm going down, sir! Oh, he's not even here." Farkle says getting nervous before he falls to the floor.

"We lost Farkle. A little help, Maya?" Riley asks standing up to help Farkle while I look at Farkle worriedly.

"Is he okay, bubba?" I ask looking at Lucas.

"Yeah that happens a lot actually, don't worry about it too much baby" Lucas responds causing me to nod shaking off my worries.

"Matthews is out, Farkle is down, it's Maya time" Maya says from behind Mr.Matthews' desk.

"Farkle's fixed. No Maya time" Riley interrupts before Farkle falls again. "You may proceed" Riley says sitting down in her seat.

"During Maya time, we open the confiscation drawer and take back all the stuff from the land of unfairly taken toys" Maya says opening up the drawer in Mr. Matthews' desk.

"Maya! I don't think anybody really wants" Riley scoffs before the class starts to cheer.

"All right, whose is this?" Maya says pulling out a frisbee before throwing it towards a kid in the back who claimed the toy but of course Farkle gets up at that point.

"What'd I miss?" He asks before the Frisbee hits him causing him to fall again.

"Maya! He is going to walk in and catch you and you're going to be in trouble and I am here to keep you out of trouble, and I will have failed. Do you want me to fail?" Riley asks getting upset.

"Do you want me to show you how to have fun?" Maya asks her in response.

"Behaving is fun" Riley says smiling at her.

"Come here!" Maya exclaims calling her over.

"I really don't want to" Riley responds shaking her head a little.

"You come here right now. Ring power!"Maya replies holding up her hand.

"When we say "ring power" you have to. It's a rule" Riley says as she stands up and walks towards Maya.

"Tell me this isn't fun" Maya says showing her a ping pong gun before shooting it all over the classroom. Yeah this class is going to get in trouble.

"Yeah, that seems like fun, but now you did it, so I don't get to do it, so are we sitting down now?" Riley says before Maya pulls out another one, "Of course there's another one!"

"Do it!" Maya exclaims.

"There is nothing in this world that can make me do it" Riley says refusing to shoot it.

"Ring power" Maya states holding her hand up again before Riley screams and starts to shoot it.

"What'd I miss?" Farkle asks standing up again before he gets hit in the face repeatedly with the ping pong balls and drops to the ground again and the class begins to go crazy.

"When did you guys decide there is no rules in here?" Mr. Matthews says finally walking into the room. "When did my generosity in allowing you to express yourselves make you think you could turn my class into a zoo?" He asks.

"I'm sorry" Riley and Maya says before going to sit down.

"I'm sorry" Farkle says after spitting out a ping pong ball.

"I'm sorry" the rest of the class aside from Lucas and I say.

"Lucas, Ari. Why are you two the only ones here that didn't say I'm sorry?" Mr.Matthews asks us.

"Because we never do anything" Lucas answers.

"Because we understand having to clean up after children" I answer my tone more like a question.

"No. Because you both respect the rules. Because you know without them, civilization becomes chaos. The rest of you are gonna spend the afternoon thinking about the with the exception of Lucas and Ari the good" Mr.Matthews says causing us to groan.

"Come on, Mr.Matthews. Why?" I groan.

"Oh boy! Is that gonna stick?" Lucas asks Maya.

"I'm already making t-shirts" Maya smiles at us before we both stand up.

"You put us in a real bad position here, sir." I say before looking to the class shaking my head to get rid of the image of them in "Lucas and Ari the good" shirts.

"We gotta do something" Lucas tells him.

"You can fight this" Mr.Matthews says.

"No, we can't, sir." Lucas says.

"Everyone's watching" I tell him.

"Okay. Do what you gotta do " Mr.Matthews tells us before Lucas pulls his phone out and texts Mr.Matthews causing me to look at him confused.

"Detention, both of you" He says after reading it looking a little shocked.

"Oh, thank you, sir" Lucas says before we sit down while I'm still confused.

"Yeah just don't do that again" Mr.Matthews says shaking his head.

"Feel better, Huckleberry? Mrs.Huckleberry? " Maya asks Lucas.

"I'm just like you now" Lucas answers.

"Yeah, we're exactly the same" Maya deadpans.

"Yeah, you're all the same. Detention, all of you!" Mr.Matthews exclaims before Riley raises her hand. "What do you want?" he asks her.

"I'm gonna be home late today, daddy" Riley responds.

"I know honey" he replies before Lucas and I look to each other.

"You're telling Lexi!" I exclaim before he can get the words out.

"Come on babe" he says pouting.

"You tell her we're coming home a little later. You got us detention, wait why do we have detention?" I ask him causing him to pull out his phone and show me the message.

Mr.M: One time when you had a meeting during lunch, Ari and I came in here and we may have made out.

"Lucas Friar!" I exclaim.

"You love me" he replies leaning over to kiss my cheek.

"yeah yeah" I say shaking my head.
