Ari POV:
"I've always allowed you to bend the rules. But the best of students know just how far they can push before those rules are broken. Today you are not the best of students." Mr.Matthews says as we all walk to take our seats in detention.
"But you know we're good people most of the time, don't you, daddy? Daddy? You'e my daddy." Riley says trying to get out of our current situation.
"Why do we need rules at all?" Maya asks suddenly.
"You think you could make it in a world without rules?" Mr.Matthews counters.
"I think I could do fine in any world." She replies.
"The rest of you believe that?" Mr.Matthews asks receiving nods from everyone "Okay. School's out. You've got the whole place to yourselves. No rules. One hour to behave however you want. Let's see what becomes of you."
"Well, I think we'll be perfectly behaved ladies and gentlemen." Riley answers folding her hands on top of her desk. Yeah like that's gonna happen.
"And I think within one minute you'll be eating each other." Mr.Matthews says before walking towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Riley asks him.
"I'm locking you in. The best punishment I can give is to force you to spend some time with yourselves. I'll see you in an hour. Whoever's left." Mr.Matthews responds before closing the door and locking it.
"I can't believe it. He locked us in" Riley says getting upset and looking around.
"Really? I definitely saw that one coming" I speak up.
"That's fine. I don't have a problem with that. I'm not claustrophobic or anything. We're trapped." Farkle starts gasping for air. " I can't breathe.
There's more carbon dioxide than oxygen! The ratio is all wrong!" He exclaims.
"The ratio is perfectly fine Farkle" I say calmly.
"Okay, Farkle gotsa go." Maya exclaims.
"I gotsa?" Farkle asks.
"Stop." Riley exclaims standing up. "This is exactly what my father wants. He wants us to panic and fall apart. We have to show him that we can get through this without turning into a pack of wild animals."
"I'm hungry." Lucas says suddenly.
"What do you mean by that?" Farkle asks looking at him.
"Nothing" Bubba says standing up. "I'm just really hungry" he continues moving to stand behind Farkle.
"Because we're best friends." Farkle asks looking at him.
"Yeah, you know what else? I don't think I've ever been this hungry." He says causing me to smirk.
"Really bubba? Cause I think I know of at least one other tile where you were hungrier than right now" I say looking at him and smiling innocently.
"Really babe?" He asks.
"What?" I say winking at him and giggling.
"I feel ya, Ranger Rick. I'm kinda hungry, too." Maya says as she stands up.
"And it's not like a regular kind of hungry, right?" Lucas asks her and he covers my mouth before I can even get a word out. He kisses my neck and whispers stop it into my ear.
"No, no. This one's deep. It must be attended to." Maya says.
"Oh, guys, can we just show a little discipline?I mean, how much more time in here could we possibly have?" Riley says before we all look at the clock, and the clock changes to 12:01. "You know I could eat, too." Riley says looking back at Farkle.
"What? What are you looking at? Guys! What are you seeing right now?" Farkle says backing away from us as we stock towards him.
"Stop talking, chicken." Lucas says licking his lips.
"All right, come on! Let's prove my father wrong." Riley says walking to the front of the room. "Let's form our own perfect society. Rileytown is a land of goodness and rainbows where everyone folds their hands nicely like so. Who wants to live in Rileytown?" Riley asks the class and nobody responds.
"Nobody wants to live in Rileytown! It's too lollipop!" Maya yells.
"You're too lollipop!" Riley yells back.
"Sister, I am a lot of things, but I ain't lollipop." Maya responds seriously.
"Rileytown has order, structure and our hands folded like so! What do you got?" Riley asks.
"I got Mayaville! No rules, no laws, no hand folding and nobody says no!" Maya says standing up on a desk. " No." Maya says as Farkle looks up at her.
"You got chaos is what you got! I got order, you got chaos!" Riley exclaims.
"You got lollipop, I got whoo!"Maya cheers.
"Okay, detention may be bringing out the worst in us, but at least we're making the time pass." Riley says as we notice that only a minute has past.
"Eat Riley!" Maya tells us.
"Okay. But no biting." Riley says holding out her arm before the back door opens.
We all look and see nobody entering before in walks Lexi with a little wagon that holds her diaper bag and what looks like a note.
"Dada" she squeals as she runs towards him.
"Hey princess, what are you doing here?" He asks lifting her up.
"Uncle Zay's mommy had a d-doc i can't say it" she pouts.
"A doctors appointment baby?" Lucas asks her.
"Yeah!" She exclaims before I stand up and grab the note.
"Sorry i couldn't watch her totally forgot that Zay had an appointment so I'm taking him now. I dropped her at the door but I had to run. Al her stuff is there." I read the note. "Well looks like we got our princess back" I say before holding my arms out to pick her up.
"Hi mama" She says smiling at me.
"Hi princess" I say smiling back before I go look in her bag to see if she had some toys in there and then look around to notice that they split the class in half and Maya walking towards the door.
"But who are you going to be with right now, Farkle?" Riley asks.
"Before you answer that, You may want to consider a little thing I call this." Maya says opening the door before everyone really realizes what Lexi's are rival meant.
"He forgot to lock the back door?" Lucas asks.
"Maya, we're in detention. You can't leave." Riley tells her.
"Hey. School's out. He said we get the place to ourselves. He said to make our own rules. Rule number one: See you around, Suckers." Maya says followed by the rest of the class.
"Farkle?" Riley asks.
"Hey. What part of "descensus in cuniculi cavum" do you not understand?" Farkle asks her.
"All of it." She replies.
"It means we drop down into the rabbit hole, man." He says before walking out.
"Lucas? Ari?" She asks us.
"We never do anything, Riley." Lucas says before I grab Lexi's things and he grabs her before we run out.
"Yeah!" We exclaim running down the hall laughing with each other.
"Yeah!" Lexi echos causing us to laugh again this time joined with our daughter's giggles.
