I was supposed to be meeting with him today. In the place where we first met. I woke up as early as I possibly could and wore my favorite clothes. I put on my ripped skinny jeans and my green crop sweater. I ran downstairs and got myself a bowl of cereal. I got in my car and I drove to the Cafe but I arrived 20 minutes early from the time we were supposed to meet.
It was already past 11:30 and he still wasn't there. We were supposed to meet at 11:20 but he was nowhere to be found. My heart was beating so fast so I just decided to calm down. I pulled my laptop and my phone out of the bag and I just checked my twitter. I checked my phone but there was nothing to read.
No messages, no notifications and no anything. I just had to text him because I was afraid that something bad happened.
He was my bestfriend, he had to be there. "Where are you? I've been worried sick!" Sent. I waited and waited but still no reply. I heard my phone ring and I lifted it from the table.
"On the way. Stuck in traffic." I had to read it again. Did he even remember? It's been 30 minutes already. The door opened I turned my head to see who it was. Finally, it was him.
"Cameron, you're here. I expected you to be a little earlier." I said to him. The door opened again. This really pretty girl with shiny blonde hair walks in and goes to Cameron.
"Oh. Who's that?" The girl said to Cameron right after she kissed him. I looked at Cameron's light blue eyes and he gave me a little smirk. "This is my Bestfriend, Alison."
Ouch.
Cameron said. "oh, this is Jennifer, my girlfriend." He said to me. I faked a smile trying to hide how I felt inside.
I thought today as the day. The day when I tell him what I mean. To tell him... how I feel. But I just broke in the inside, knowing that there is someone else that he cares about more than anything.
Someone that is so valuable and precious that he will never let go and someone he will never leave. I thought he was just kidding but he didn't say a thing so I knew it was real.
They're meant for each other. They're both perfect and special.
I'm just overreacting. This is a dream.
I thought. I wanted to burst into tears but then I had to hold it in. He was that type of boy that would never leave you or never let you get hurt.
He was the man that I thought I would grow old with, but I thought wrong. Well, she seemed perfect. He seemed perfect. I knew it was meant to be.
She's a lucky girl.
We just talked about things that people usually do talk about but it was just wrong. There was one thing that just wasn't right but then I just can't point it out but I know it.
"How did you guys meet?" Jennifer asked us.
"When I was working here, he just entered the cafe and I took his order, and then we started talking and we started hanging out daily. How did you guys meet?" I lied to Jennifer. "We met at the fair and then he was really good at the games so I got a lot of prices and I decided to take his phone number." She replied to me as she crawls her hand over to his and grabs it.
This is gonna hurt more than I thought.
