I looked around to find that everyone was looking at us. I'm just so happy that Jennifer isn't smart.
On the next week. . .
When I went to school, I found my bestfriend crying in the playground. "Laura! Are you okay? What's this?" I asked her as I pulled out a picture off of her hand.
It was a recent picture of her and Jack. She has been crying on it for so long, that it was already wet.
She started crying more and took the picture from my hand. "Goodbye, Jack." She said before she tore the paper in half putting both of them in separated parts.
"Oh no. Don't tell me, I have to hit that douchebag again. Why'd he leave you? You're perfect!" I asked her, sitting down on the swing next to her.
"Don't hit him, It's fine. He broke up with me for good." I heard her mumble under her breath. "Laura, you can never break up for the good unless it's gonna become a long distance relationship. if he loves you, there should truly be nothing that could make that better. If he loves you, he won't leave you. And if he loves you, he won't replace you or put you back in the 'single orphanage' just to adopt a new girl. There is no 'good' when it comes to breaking up. There is no good reason, and there is no good ending." I said to her, giving a lecture on love.
" well then, I guess he doesn't love me. I've always taken it seriously but, he never has. I thought it was only the two of us, but there was someone else for him." Laura replied, crying more and more.
"I swear, he will regret that. He will just crawl back to you like nothing happened. he will change his mind and he will surely want you back, and if God is kind enough, he'll let you watch."
"You're right. You are the best best friend ever. I'm so lucky I called dibs." She said as she hugged me tight.
Gosh, going through a break up is a lot of trouble. It's just a good thing I'm single... or am I? I gave her a big pack of tissues and let her wipe her teary eyes and I led her to the bathroom.
I made her wash her mascara off because it made her look like a mess. We went to our first class on that day and it was my favorite class. ENGLISH like, how can you not like that class, unless you're a foreign exchange student.
She was still crying a bit but I just comforted her. The bad part was that Jack was in this class too.
Yes. The three of us have the exact same schedule. I was just looking at him for the whole day and during English, Laura said to me "oh. Look, Jack's there."
No shit.
It's so surprising how she didn't remember. It's already been 9 months of having the same schedule as him!
So Laura stared at him with me. He looked at us and faked a smile. Laura and I just rolled our eyes.
He wasn't so far, so I could hear what he says. "Aw for fuck sake." He whispered as he combed his hair back with his hand.
"When did he break up with you?" I asked Laura. "3 days ago, when there was no school." She said and she started tearing up again.
During lunch break, I only ate with Laura and not the rest of our friends because of... issues. When we finished eating, we were walking to our AP america history class and guess who came running back right after Laura has moved on? That's right, Jack.
"I'm sorry Laura. I love you and I need you to forgive me." He said to Laura, tightly squeezing her hand. "Why? Did she dump you, or do you wanna bring me back to secretly make it 3 all over again?"
"I broke up with her earlier. I regret what I did, and I'm sorry. I never could've left you. I just need a 2nd chance."
"Yeah, I know we should give second chances when it comes to TRUE LOVE, but this isn't true. In fact, I don't even consider it love. Alison was right. You did crawl back to ask for a second chance. You did apologize. and I did not believe that this is truly what you call 'love.' If you loved me, you wouldn't put me back up to single, ditched ex-girlfriend orphanage. You wouldn't change your mind about me, and lastly, you wouldn't replace me. But guess what? I don't think this is what you call love, so just please. Get out of my way and go back to cheska." Laura said to him as she walked away and gives Jack a strong hit on his arm.
