TW: ED- Anorexia

"You're with me," Finn said, grabbing Y/N's wrist and pulling her to sit next to him in the carriage of the ferris wheel.

It was late now, roughly 10pm, and the group of teenagers were just boarding Mickey's Fun Wheel. It glowed an array of neon in the black night, the large Mickey Mouse face a staple of Disneyland. Finn and Y/N sat huddled in one carriage, Sophia and Maddie in the one behind, and Wyatt and Jaeden behind once again. It was getting progressively chilly so Finn and Y/N nestled relatively close to each other, breathing out clouds of cold air into the night's sky.

Their carriage was practically at the peak when the ride came to a sudden, juddering halt. Surprised cries and a band of mutterings broke out throughout the passengers. Y/N swung her head around, peering through the metal bars down at the carriage behind her, inhabiting Sophia and Maddie, looking at them in confusion, which they returned. Wyatt and Jaeden too had to clue what was happening.

"What's going on?" Y/N wondered out loud, pulling her coat around her tighter due to the draughty air.

"I don't know," Finn muttered, looking around. "I'm guessing the ride broke down."

Y/N nodded, swallowed and glancing down at the ground from their heigh hight. Finn noticed this and put her arm around her for comfort.

"It's okay," he comforted. "I'm here. And plus, the view is so pretty. Look."

Y/N did so, scanning the rollercoaster dotted landscape around her, all lit up with lively neon lights and emitting excitable screams from their zooming coaster-cars. An array of blue, greens, yellows, oranges, reds, pinks and purples splashed her panorama, the brilliant white stars plastering the sky above her. It truly was a beautiful view. It was just missing someone...

"Y/N?" Finn said, and she turned around nodding. "Since we're stuck up here, do you want to talk about..."

"Talk about what?" Y/N said, swallowing the tight lump that had formed in her throat; she had a sinking suspicion about what Finn wanted to talk about.

"I think you know," he replied, cocking his head and raising his eyebrows.

Y/N looked away from Finn, staring straight forward into the splashes of colour in the dark abyss. The lump she tried, and failed, to swallow seemed to be rising higher, making her breathing shallower and more laboured. She sucked in a deep breath of cold air and attempted to clear the fuzzing in her mind.

She didn't want to talk about it, she didn't want to talk about it, she didn't want to talk about it.

"I don't want to talk about it."

"But I think you should," Finn continued, rubbing his thumb up and down Y/N's shoulder. "I haven't seen you since you got out and it's good for you."

It's good for you. If Y/N had a penny for every time she had heard that.

"It's not a big deal," YN replied bluntly whilst picking at her nails.

"It is."

"It's not."

"You were in rehab, Y/N!" Finn said loudly, before sighing and looking apologetic. "You should talk about it."
