10: 43 am, Kimberly's home

Kimberly slowly opens her eyes from her slumber. She looks on her right side where her phone is placed, checking the time. She groans before finally being able to get up from bed after a 5-minute debate in her head. She stomps her feet sleepily towards her closet where she grabs an outfit then heads outside her room. As soon as she steps out, the reeking smell of alcohol fills her nostrils making her scrunch her nose in disgust. She looks over to the sofa to see her father soundly asleep with a bottle of soju in his hand. She rolls her eyes at the familiar scene before walking to the restroom where she does her skincare routine before wearing the clothes she picked out. She decided to not put on any makeup just like other days only some lip gloss. While applying the lip-gloss she gets reminded of what happened yesterday making her cheeks hot.

After some minutes she walks out of the bathroom and checks the time '11:08' it read. 

She walked out of the house with her phone in her right hand. She couldn't help but feel unsafe alone on the streets. It was like any other day, a crowd of people all walking in different directions towards their respective destination. However, for her, it wasn't. She was being followed the previous day and there is no confirmation that the same isn't happening at this moment. She continues to walk with goosebumps all over her body at the feeling of someone looking at her.

"Hi." Someone suddenly says behind her, making his appearance make her loosen up a little.

"Hyunwoo... hi." She replies with a slight smile.

"We haven't talked for some days so when I saw you I wanted to ask how you've been?"

"Good... I guess." She responds unsure of how she actually felt.

"That's good. Um if it's okay with you... do you wanna hang out?"

After some seconds of thinking, she answers, "I'm sorry I can't. I'm gonna meet with someone."

"May I ask who?" 

"You probably don't know him. He's a senior. His name is Park Jonseong or Jay." Hyunwoo nods, looking at the ground with an unreadable expression on his face.

"Hey." Someone approaches them.

"Oh hey, Jay are you also making your way to Let Me In?" Kimberly asks right away.

"Yeah, I am." He simply replies, eyeing the guy next to her.

"What are you guys gonna do?" Hyunwoo asks cutting into their conversation.

"Who are you?" Jay asks.

"Jay this is Hyunwoo, Hyunwoo this is Jay." Kimberly introduces them, they shake hands.

"Um, Hyunwoo we have to go. See you Monday at school?" Kimberly asks, with the urge of getting out of the awkward atmosphere.

"Sure, I'll leave now." He answered with the same complex tone before leaving.

She let out a breath she wasn't even aware she was holding, continuing her way towards the cafe which was near her home. She remembered Jay was still there and decided to start a conversation, "It's only 11:15, you left quite early."

"I could say the same about you," He replies.

"My house reeked alcohol and I couldn't take it, it's a lot better to be outside."

"True... What do you wanna do meanwhile?"

"Well, I haven't eaten breakfast so should we just go to the cafe?" She asks pointing towards its direction. Jay nods before she starts to lead the way there. They soon arrive quickly taking over a booth near the window.

They sit in front of each other in awkward silence for a while before Kimberly musters up the courage to speak, "Look... about yesterday-" she began with a blank face but was interrupted.

"It wasn't for our enjoyment. I only did that to get that creepy guy off of you. If you bring that up to thank me, there's no need." Kimberly felt a stab in her stomach. "I don't support the idea of creepy dudes tryna molest women." He states arrogantly taking a sip of his coffee when he finished.

She sat there, speechless looking at the food in front of her unable to understand what she felt towards his explanation.

"I know that. I just wanted to confirm that we both felt the same way." She replies coldly, still looking down whilst playing with her pancakes since she had now lost her appetite. Unknowingly hurt. 

He hummed and from then on they both stayed quiet, enjoying their food well more like Jay was while the younger forced herself to make it seemed there was nothing wrong. After a while though, the silence was disrupted by a certain pretty young lady who made her way towards them after analyzing the cafe to find them. 

"Hello, Jay." She started, respectfully greeting.

"Hey, NingNing. This is Kimberly the owner of the phone." He said pointing at the girl in front of him. 

NingNing, with her beautiful smile, bowed to her, the other did the same- minus the smile. She sat down next to the girl and after getting comfortable with a strawberry smoothie they started to converse.

"So here in this USB I put everything that could be important that was deleted; there were some conversations and also photos there were also deleted apps but I separated those since they weren't really important- they were just games." The young Chinese girl explains handing the item to Kimberly whilst also handing her Jiwon's phone. As the youngest takes it, she takes a glance at her watch, "I will be taking my leave now, thank you for the treat." She bows.

"Thank you so much for doing this, it is really important," Kimberly explains with a slight smile and some emotion- at least more than the previous time she spoke.

"Is the reason you are leaving perhaps because of a 177 cm, black-haired, ice prince?" Jay asks NingNing with a smirk on his face which results in her being a blushing mess.

"I- I'll leave now," and with that, she rushed out of the comfortable cafe.

As soon as she was gone Kimberly spoke, "I don't have a computer do you?" 

He hums in response, "Yes, I brought it with me because NingNing had told me." He takes a glance outside. "I don't think we can go to the rooftop today- it looks like it's about to rain. And I don't think it would be the best idea to stay here.

How about we go to my house?"
