"Midnight shadows
When finding love is a battle
But daylight is so close."~
I stare at my reflection in uncertainty. The women looking at me looks like she is from is a different time period.
"Do you think I look ok?" I stress whilst patting my dress and looking at myself in different angles.
"You look wonderful dear."
"Are you sure? It's not too much?"
"Of course not! I adore that dress on you."
"Are you sure it doesn't make me look ridiculous? I think it's too much. You know what maybe I will just wear the red-"
"- Armelle dear calm down." Adele spins me around and rubs my arms for comfort.
I look into her kind eyes and give her a small smile.
"You look lovely in green. I think after spending so much time in your room these past few days, it has made you a little crazy." Adele chuckles whilst fixing the wrinkles in my gown and adjusting my tiara.
"I have just never worn something so... different." I say looking at the poofy classic styled dress that chokes my figure with it's sewed in corset.
If Cinderella wore green, I'm sure the dress would look a little like this. I think looking at my reflection in uncertainty again.
"Well thank your brother for his 18th century birthday theme." Adele chuckles. I laugh with her and shake my head as I remember the day he told me the theme.
Lucian is known to have the most ridiculous costume parties for his birthday. Last year it was an all white party where the only drinks being served were red wines, fun coloured cocktails and all sorts of dark liquor. Lucian likes to make everything a joke - even his own birthday. I remember him laughing his head off the whole night watching the guests spill their drinks on their expensive clothes.
"Is it not too much green?" I ask self-consciously comparing my dull green eyes to the gorgeous emerald of the dress.
"Stop over thinking dear, you look stunning in that dress! All you are missing now is that pretty smile of yours." Adele smiles at me as she adds a few more pins to my hair.
I look at myself in the mirror and decide to listen to her advice. She has always been right, I have no reason to start doubting her now.
You look fine Elle, relax. I tell myself.
I take a deep breath and listen to my self encouragement.
I have never stressed so much about what i've worn before, and I know Kade is the reason.
I blush at the thought of him. What happened between us both this morning has been on my mind all day. I have spent my day blushing and day dreaming about the moment we shared and what may have happened if Adele didn't come in when she did.
Would he have kissed me again? My mind floats away again.
Will he kiss me again tonight? I have been stressing about the thought. What if he kisses me after I have eaten something with garlic?
