13 - numb

Yuri entered the hospital as she sped inside.

"Lee Yuri, you'll need to sign in-"

Yuri ran past her slightly hearing what she had said- Yuri turned her head to see if she was talking to her, her feet still carrying her away. She brushed it off and turn to look where she was going-

BAM

Yuri opened her eyes, the last thing she saw was running into someone, they were holding a bunch of paperwork too.

"A-are you okay Yuri..?" A familiar voice said in a worried tone.

"Y-yeah I'm fine.." Yuri said rubbing her nose and looking up,

"Jaemin-?"

"Heh- yeah that's me.." He said, "I thought you would've forgotten my name.."

"No- I haven't-" She said getting up.

"Uh- could you take me to my grandma's room-?"

Yuri opened the door to her grandma's hospital room as Jaemin stood by the doorway.

"Grandma-!" Yuri said as she ran over to her.

"Yuri.." She said slowly.

"Grandma are you okay?" She said holding her hand.

"Yes.. I feel fine now" She said as she slowly smiled.

"I'm sorry.. I should've stayed home with you-" Yuri said looking down.

"Yuri- none of this is your fault-" Her grandma scolded her. "Don't start with that."

"Sorry-" She said.

A doctor suddenly walked in. It was Dr. Wang.

"Doctor- Is she going to be okay?" Yuri said getting up.

"She has a brain tumor." He said, as we stood outside of the room. Jaemin was beside me.

"The medication she was given increased her chances of getting a stroke." He explained, "She was having a stroke when you found her"

Yuri stood there quietly. She felt numb.

"She might need to get done surgery on her- to remove that part of the brain"

"Right.." Yuri said looking down at her feet.

"Don't worry about the money Yuri-"

"I'm not worried about the money-" She said.

"I'm worried about her."

Yuri was back home, scrolling through her phone looking at old pictures of her and her grandma. She didn't feel happy or sad looking at them. She felt numb.

Yuri looked over at the notebook on the kitchen counter with Huening Kai's number on it.

She typed in his number into her contact list.

Should I- call him?

Just as she was about to hit the call button she gets a message.

It was from an old friend of hers.

How does this idiot still have my number?
