I stepped out of Jamie's room and went to the living room, where I sat down and flicked on the television. It made me sad to know that Jamie was so upset, but at least Kriss will not bother him tonight. Hopefully, he will be put in prison for what he did to those men at the bar. He would only get five years or so, but that's better than nothing.
As I watched TV, I couldn't help but think that Jamie was still upset. Biting my lip, I got up and started back for his room.
When I walked into his room, I saw him peacefully sleeping in his bed. Smiling, I slowly stepped over to him and sat on the bed. Jamie opened his eyes and looked at me. I guess he was not asleep.
"S-sorry, I just came to check on you," I stuttered out, rubbing the back of my head.
"It's fine. I was beginning to get a little lonely," he chuckled. Smiling, I scooted over to the empty side of the bed and laid down.
"Are you feeling any better, yeno, because of earlier?" I asked.
"A little."
"That's good." We laid there for a few minutes. Other than the passing sirens, it was quiet. I looked at the ceiling, hoping that Jamie was sleeping so that I could get up and go to my room. I never really likes the guest bedroom. It freaked me out for some reason. Maybe it was the fact that it didn't have a curtain and it faced the highway or the fact that you can hear my neighbors going at it like bunnies down below. Probably that last one.
Looking over at Jamie, he looked back at me.
"Hi there," he giggled. Smiling, I echoed it back.
"Well, I should probably go t-."
"Wait, Carmin, can I talk to you?" Jamie cut me off as I sat up.
"Yeah, what about?"
"Last night." I felt air get trapped in my lungs. Never did I think he would actually bring it back up. Taking a breath I nodded and said, "Alright, what about it?"
"Carmin, don't play coy with me. You know what I am talking about."
"I honestly do not," I lied, knowing exactly what he was talking about.
"I was talking about this," he sighed, quickly bringing his lips to mine and kissing me. I was shocked. I didn't think he would kiss me again. Kissing back, I felt one of his hands trail up and down my back, sending chills up and down my spine. I felt him move to where he was sitting on my lap, both legs on either side of me and his arms wrapped around my neck. I placed my hands on his waist and pulled him even further into the kiss. Not controlling what I was doing, I seductively bit his lip and pulled, earning a slight, not very audible, moan. When he pulled away and realized where he was and what he was doing, he scrambled off of me.
"Jesus. Uh, I-uh. Sorry," he blushed.
"Why are you sorry? You said sorry last time too and I told you it was alright."
"Aha! I caught you! You liar," he chucked because I had given away the fact that I lied about not knowing what happened last night. Rolling my eyes, I smiled.
"Do you wanna sleep with me tonight?" I boldly asked.
"Sure," he snickered.
