Recommendation- Come With Me Now by KONGOS

Y/N's POV:

Alexandra: 10 meter closing in from the right!

Y/N: Violet go low! Alexandra finish it off!

They both stand on the backs of their horses. Violet jumps off hers and I quickly snatch its reins.

Violet: Coming down!

She cuts right through its calf's. I start to circle around to get her horse back to her.

Y/N: Alright Alexandra your up!

Alexandra: Right! One dead titan coming right up!

She jumps off her horse and like Violet's, I snatch the reins. Very uncomfortable position to be in.

Alexandra strikes the titan down like a bird of prey swooping in for a kill.

I slow the horses down and have the others mount up. Once we're set we race to get back on track.

Yesterday we were dropped into this target rich environment...if the targets were towering beasts that eerily looked like us humans...now that's a thought. Why is it that they look like us?

Alexandra: That's the fourth titan this morning!

Violet: To think people actually survived doing things like this is dumbfounding.

Y/N: Yeah who in their right minds thought this was a good idea?

Alexandra: Well let's not forget we all wanted to be scouts.

Y/N: Eh princess doesn't count. She changed her mind last minute.

Violet: Stop calling me that titan bait!

Y/N: Hey you know I'm sensitive about the whole being eaten thing!

The ground shakes as an abnormal titan comes crawling out behind us. It's head is bald and skeletal. Their eyes are sunken in and gray.

Alexandra: Abnormal on our ass!

It starts to speed up getting closer to us.

Y/N: I got this one. Alexandra be read to catch my reins, princess standby for support if this thing puts up a fight.

Alexandra: Ready!

Violet: Good luck!

I take a deep breath before jumping off my horse's back. I turn my body and fire off one of my lines into it's forehead.

My gas propels me towards the hellish creature. As soon as I'm close enough I un-attach my line and fly over it's head.

Y/N: Gotcha now!

Using my gear I attach a line to its neck and fly in for the kill. A quick slice and the creature slides on the ground dead.

Once it comes to a stop Alexandra comes back and hands off my reins back to me.

Y/N: Well today is certainly interesting.

We ride off again.

After a long day of riding we reach the citadel. It's walls have long since been destroyed but the central structure remains partially un touched.

The broken down walls are covered in moss, cracks and dirt.

Y/N: We made it. Somehow.

Alexandra: Alright gang let's go find some books.

Y/N: How in the world would they even know that any books out here?

Violet: Maybe they have a specific seal or inscription?

Alexandra: Maybe they just have a list?

I shrug before tying my horse to a post.

Y/N: Alright let's go.

The three of us dismount before walking into the citadel. Scattered along the ground is debris and unfired munitions.

Violet: Titans didn't leave much left did they?

Alexandra: What're you talking about princess? They left us the grass didn't they?

Needless to say the place was in shambles.

Y/N: Let's just get these books and get out of here.

We walk into the central building. Dust particles swirl around us. I myself cough a little. The air within the building seems oppressive in some weird way.

Alexandra: Alright now if I was some book where would I be?

Violet: The library downstairs?

Alexandra: Huh?

Violet: Yeah like the one back home?

Me and Alexandra exchange a look before laughing a little.

Y/N: Say princess you ever have a sugar sandwich?

Violet: Stop calling me that! And no what's that?

Once again me and Alexandra laugh.

Alexandra: Oh Violet you sweet sweet naive fool.

Alexandra pats Violet's head as she pouts.

Y/N: Alright alright. Let's actually get what came for.

We end up walking up a spiral staircase. When we reach the top of the staircase we find an office with a large desk in the center. And within that office are various books.

Y/N: Jackpot. Alright people grab a book and let's get the hell out of here.

The girls nod and grab their own books at random. As I reach for a random book I feel a sudden pull in my gut. I look around the room feeling a strange sense of deja vu. Had I been here before? No thats impossible.

I feel my body move on it's own as I end behind the office desk. I open the drawers that are on the sides of the desk and find them empty.

What the hell am I doing?

But the gut feeling doesn't leave me. I start to check for false bottoms and sure enough I find one.

I remove the false bottom as Violet and Alexandra stare at me as if I'm some weirdo. Although this is sorta unusual behavior for me.

With the false bottom now gone I find a journal in a sealed bag waiting for me. But the title catches me off guard.

Y/N: What the hell?

I look back at Alexandra and Violet before grabbing the journal.

Y/N: I...I need to keep this.

They look at one another before shrugging.

Alexandra: I told you they were special.

Violet: I still think that's a little rude. But it does seem like your right.

Y/N: Oh can it you short shits.

I stand up with the journal in hand and grab some random book.

Y/N: Alright let's head out.

And so we leave the citadel and ride back towards the rendezvous.

Alexandra: So what did you find in there?

Violet: Yeah what's with the whole needing to keep it and grabbing a second book?

Y/N: I'm not sure...just a feeling.

Hours go by and we end up making camp in the remains of a village. I pull the first watch and let the girls sleep.

I pull out the journal and look it over reading the title of it again.

The L/N Curse.

Aaaaand scene

Just what the hell am I cooking up?
