Yeah okay I caved in. I told myself I wouldn't do this but I just couldn't stop myself. I still remember when I watched the first season of aot years ago and how it left an impression on me.
Right this is an experimental thing I want to try out. Every chapter will have a recommended song to listen to while reading. By no means do you have to listen to the song I just think it more or less fits the chapter.

3rd Person POV:
Titans. No one knows where they came from but they nearly drove humanity to extinction. With various sizes that stand taller than humans and near invincibility, they were a force to be reckoned with.
They forced humanity to retreat behind three walls as tall as 50 meters. Those walls were Wall Maria, Wall Rose and Wall Sina.
Our story begins on a day of reckoning. The day humanity's timer began to countdown. When the titans broke through for the first time in 70 years. Though humanity has forgotten of the time a titan made it into Shiganshina all those years ago.
(Small Easter egg if you've ever read Before The Fall)
Y/N's POV:
I rest my hand on my older sister's back as she cries her eyes out in our kitchen. In front of her is a bloody insignia bearing two wings. One white and one blue. The wings of freedom as some would say.
Today the Scouts came back from an expedition. Their faces downcast, horrified, shocked and various other expressions.
Our father is a scout...or rather was a scout. All we have left of him now is a patch they cut off his body. Not even a body for us to bury.
Bianca: He's gone...and he left us...just you and me.
Her tears stain our wooden table. I myself do my best to keep myself together. I can cry later, but right now I need to be strong.
It was just the three of us. My father, Bianca and I.
Bianca wipes her eyes and lets out a loud exhale.
Bianca: You can only cheat death for so long...
Y/N: Let's not...let's not talk like that...he'd want us to be strong right now.
She only nods before looking at me.

I nod my head as she hands me a small bag with money in it. Her own savings.
I wave goodbye as I step out of our Shiganshina home. My feet echo off the ground before dissipating in the bustling crowd.
