Chapter seven

*Game day!*

Today is our first game today, and i can't wait. Shawn and i have been hanging out a lot, just as friends, but it was still fun hanging out with Shawn. He's so funny and creative. It was lunch time now. Spencer was sitting at another table and was sipping on a diet soda. I ignored him and went back to my conversation with Nikki and Jordynn. We were talking about mocking jay part two that was coming out soon. We were all coming too the movies together on the first day it goes into the theater. I was going through the gallery on my phone, when i came across the picture of Shawn and i together at the top of the ferris wheel. I saw how cool it looked and put it on my instagram. In the comment are i put

Me and my best bud!

I wrote then tagged Shawn on the picture. I was doing all of this, then i feel a breeze behind me. I turn around and see Jordynn,"Hello?" I asked,"Ohh. Were you two on a date?" Asked Jordynn taking my phone from me,"Hey give it back!" I said  bit annoyed, but laughed to not sound too mean. Jordynn also laughed, but as i ran after her, i bumped into Spencer.

We stood and stared at each other awkwardly,"Hi." Said Spencer without any emotion,"Hey." I said without any emotion either. We walked our seperate ways. I had forgotten all about my phone and walked over towards Nikki and Jordynn who were sitting on the table looking at my picture,"Sorry, Madds, we didn't think you'd be so mad." Said Jordynn giving me back my phone,"It's fine, honestly i don't care." I said sitting next to them,"It's a nice pic though." Said Emmah,"Thanks." I said then let her see it more. We sat, ate and talked about movies. But i still couldn't get Spencer emotionless voice out of my head, which was really starting to bug me. I was feeling guilty all over again. I want Spencer and i to be friends, but he just hates me soo much, that i don't think we can be friends.

(Spencer's pov)

*Still at lunch*

I was sipping on my soda and was constantly staring at Maddie. I just can't believe we haven't made up already. I wish Shawn and her never met. Maybe if i never cheated on her, this all would have never happened. Maybe we would still be together. I wish i could call her mine. Maybe i still had a chance with her. Maybe i can win her back. I hope i can.... because i love her.

(Back to Maddie's pov)

After lunch i went to my locker to grab my books when i see shawn in the corner of my eye walking towards me,"Hey." I said smiling,"Hey, guess who saved one of his mom's brownies for someone?" Asked Shawn. That someone was obviously,"I don't know?" I asked grabbing my books and closing my locker,"I did...for Eric Song." Said Shawn pointing at eric, who was leaning against a locker shining his glasses,"Really?" I asked,"No, it's for you obviously." Said Shawn handing me my brownie,"Thanks." I said then took a bite out of it,"mmm, delicous!" I said still chewing on some brownie. i absolutley love his mom's brownies. We walked to my class then he left for his class. Shawn and i haven't really talked about what happened at the carnaval, but we just brushed it off so it wouldn't be so awkward between us.

*In the parking lot*

It was finally the end of the day, and in about two hours from now, we would have our very first game, which i was really excited about. Shawn said that he would come, and he kept on trying to say that he was going to bring a sighn with my name and number on it, but i talked him out of it. Nikki, Alivia, Garrett B., Garrett J., AJ, Adrienne, Jordynn, Shawn, and i were hanging out in the parking lot talking amungst ourselves. When my brother drives up. Honking his horn, so prode of his mustang that he got last year, yet he still treats it as if it was brand new,"Get in." Said my brother putting down his shades,"See ya guys later." I said waving goodbye and walking to the passenger's side.

*Game time!!!*

We were warming up, when  the other team came in. They were tall, skinny, and mean looking. They smirked at us. The worst part was they were the eastern hawks. They were the best in california, but we weren't going down without a fight. Nikki, Alivia, and i went back to warming up. Alivia and Nikki were the best ones on the team.

*half way into the game*

Alivia was serving the ball. She serves the ball and makes it over. One girl pumps it up, then another girl pumps it too. Alivia ran to the front row and sets the ball for Nikki. Nikki then attacks the ball and spikes it! Nikki's spike was soo powerful, that no one on the other team got it, it hits the ground with out anyone even trying to hit it back. We all cheered in joy! Then rushed back to our postions.

The score was now 24 to 23. We were a head by two points, and I was surving. I served it over hand and made it over. One girl in the back row pumps it to one girl who sets it, then another girl spikes it. Nikki then digs it(A Fancy word for bumped a spike) causing it to go in the air, which Alivia tips it, making it go out of control. No one on the other team touched it, which meant....WE WON OUR FIRST GAME!!!

I was soo happy. I looked over at the corner and saw Alan, Garrett J., Garrett B., AJ, and Shawn were in the corner cheering. Shawn was waving a banner with my name and number on it(My number was 5). I was blushing. The whole team walked over at the other team and shook hands.After we shook hands, we walked to the girl's locker room and changed into our sweats and t-shirts.

Nikki, Alivia, and i walk back the gym and talk to our parents. Then we walk back outside,"Hey honey, your father and i are going to a spa for the weekend." Said my mom,"Oh, is mike gonna be home?" I asked,"Um, i think he's gonna spend the night at a friend's for the weekend." Said my mom,"Okay." I said then we hug.

We arrived home and my parents aqucikly went upstairs to quickly pack for their trip. After they were done packing i went with them outside to tell them goodbye. My mom gave me their credit card and told me that it was for food only. They both gave me a hug and wenton their way to their trip.

I WAS HOME ALONE! Which i was really happy about for some odd reason. I changed into some black sweats, a blue long sleeve flowing shirt, some white socks, and put my hair up in a ponytail.I went to the fridge and took out some frozen pizza and put it in the microwave for two minutes. Then i hear a thunder storm, which i hated. I really hated thunder storms for some odd reason. Ever since i was a little kid. I went to my room and laid in my bed, when i heard two knocks at the door.

I grabbed a bat from my brother's room and went downstairs. I was horrified. What if it was an axe muderer, yet again, it could be channing tatum. Really Channing Tatum? In my dreams. I walked to the door and peaked through the peak hole, but couldn't see anyone, because of how much it had started to rain already,"who is it!?!" I yelled my eye still on the peak hole,"Shawn!" Shouted Shawn's loud voice over the rain. I opened the door to see Shawn....
