chapter nine

*the next day*

It was saturday and i was really bored. So i went downstiars and got some food. When shawn was in the bathroom changing the other night, Spencer had texted me that he wanted to talk, but i never responded. I was really mad, but also really bored, when i'm bored i try to find some snacks to keep me company. I walk into the cold kitchen and grab some pizza rolls out of the fridge. They were frozen, so i had to put them in the microwave for three minutes. I went to the living room and turned on the tv. After the next episode of Spongebob that comes on, i get a text. From Spencer. I wanted to ignore him, but i was also a little curious about what he was gonna say.

Hey, wanna hang out later?

Texted Spencer

Are you gonna beat me up to?

I texted. It took him a while to text me back.

Shawn told you?

Texted Spencer

No, he came to my house all bloody, why the heck would you do that!!?

I texted

Because he's ruining everything with us, and you don't even realize that! You keep hanging out with him, thinking i'm the bad guy, when he's trying to get you back!

Texted Spencer. I am so sick in tired of his crap

Okay, one Shawn has been nothing but nice and understanding with me, and two, WE'RE JUST FRIENDS! It's not even any of your buisness if i do like him anyways! We're done remember?

I texted

I'M NOT! I'M NOT READY TO GIVE UP ON YOU! Maddie, please don't give up on us!

Texted Spencer

I can't do this right now, i can't you're just confusing me and making this all worse for yourself! I don't know what i want, because you keep texting, talking, and getting into fights, I don't even know who you are anymore!!!

I texted

You don't think i'm confused? One day i had an amazing girlfriend, then she hangs out with a guy that i begged for her not to go hang out with, but she did anyways, then the next day she says that she might have feelings for him?

Texted Spencer.

That horrible feeling was coming back to me.

Stop it! You're making me feel worse and making me even more confused! And why did you have to throw out that I LOVE YOU??? I was confused enough!

I texted

Because i can't help  how i feel okay?

Texted Spencer

NO IT'S NOT OKAY! I'M SOO MAD AT YOU RIGHT NOW! I CAN'T TALK TO YOU RIGHT NOW, JUST LET ME THINK, PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU!

I texted and was scared of his answer.

Like how i begged you not to go hang out with Shawn???

Texted Spencer.

THAT'S IT I HAD IT!!!

THAT'S IT. I'm TRIED OF ALL OF TUIS! BUT NOW I HAVE NO CHOICE! I'M GONNA BLOCK YOU, JUST UNTIL I FIGURE EVERYTHING OUT!

I texted then blocked him.

I turned off my phone and went to my room to think for a little. I was rwally mad, then heard my home phone ring.  I ran downstars and picked it up,"Hello?" I asked not in a really good mood,"Really? You just blocked me instead of just talking to me?" Asked Spencer who sounded really pissed at me,"Spence i can't talk i'm confused just leave me alone please!" I shouted then could hear Spencer throw his cell phone at a wall. I hung up and walked in my room and grabbed my iPod. Then i went outside to the pourch and sat on the steps. I put my head phones on and listened to some sam smith. After a few more songs i look up and see Shawn walking up my drive way. He was wearing some black skiny jeans, A grey plad shirt, some black and white converse, his hair was a mess, and he was wearing some black shades covering his eyes. He waved at me. I waved back and took off my head phones,"Hey." I said trying to sound in a good mood,"Well, you're bad at hiding your emotions." Said Shawn chuckling as he sat next to me. I chuckled too,"yeah, Spencer texted me." I said sighing,"oh no, i'm sorry for everything, i should have never transfered to your school." Said Shawn,"No it's not your fault, don't say that, i'm glad you transferred, you're a really good friend." I said then smiles at me,"Everything's messed up isn't it?" Asked Shawn then sighs,"Yeah." I sighe to. Then it was quiet again. I look at Shawn who was staring at a tree with a blank look,"But I'm glad you're still my friend." I said. Shawn turns his head and smiles at me,"Me too." Said Shawn standing up,"wanna go set up that blind date?" Asked Shawn. I giggled and nodded my head,"well, i gotta get changed first, so you can wait out here for a sec." I said the he nodds.

I ran into my room and picked out a cute outfit. Some blue jeans, a white NYC t-shirt, some black combat boots, and a white beanie. I walk back outside and Shawn whistles at me, i giggled to myself and twirled around,"Sorry, but i couldn't help it!" Said Shawn,"It's fine." I said still giggling. He laughs too.

We arrived at the cafe and Shawn had just gotten done texting his friend. I didn't know his name, but not knowing his name just made it all more of a surpise. I got my phone out and texted Jordynn.

Hey wanna come hang out with Shawn, me, and his friend at the cafe today?

I texted

Sure when?

Texted Jordynn

We're already here and we orderd, you can come now.

I texted  

Mkay, i'll be there in a bit.

Texted Jordynn

Mkay see ya in a bit

I texted then turned off my phone. Shawn and i ordered some food as we waited for them to come already. I ordered a sandwich, a side salad, and a cherry pepsi. Shawn got a pizza, a side salad, and a root beer. We both sat at our table and ate our food and made small talk.

After a few more minutes of waitng, a tall blonde, skinny, guy walked through the door and walked towards us,"Hey man." Said the blonde guy, who's voice was pretty deep,"Hey dude." Said Shawn getting up, and walking up to him. They did a bro hand shake, which meant...he was the single guy looking for someone. He wasn't that bad looking, which i was really happy, because he and Jordynn would look together. Spencer called me over with them,"Hey Maddie this is my friend David Bridges, David, this is my friend Maddie Horan." Said Shawn. Then both David and i shake hands,"My friend will be here in a bit." I said,"Can't wait." Said David then went to order his food.

(Jordynn's POV)

I went to my closet and picked out some black sweats, A blue t-shirt, some red jordans, and put my hair up in a pony tail. I went downstairs and told my mom i was gonna hang out with my friends. She said that it was fine and that i had to be home by nine. Then left for the cafe.

I finally got to the cafe and saw Maddie, Shawn, and some cute blonde guy sitting with each other at a big round table. Maddie waves at me and motions me to go to the table. I walk over towards them and sit inbetween Maddie and the blonde guy,"Hey I'm David Bridges." Said the hot blonde guy,"Hey i'm Jordynn." I said.

David and i mostly talked with each other. I felt a little bad, because i came to hang out with Maddie. But i found out a lot about David. He's a freshman, he goes to our school, and he loves basketball. After an hour of talking, I invited Maddie to hang out at my house for a little bit. We were on our way out, when David stops me,"Hey can i see your phone for a sec?" Asked David,"Yeah here." I said unlocking my phone and hading it to him,"There's something wrong with your phone." Said David.

"What?" I asked

"It doesn't have my number." Said David making me laugh. He puts his number in my phone. Then he stops me again,"You know, i don't have your number either." He said making me laugh again. I put my phone number in his phone and said goodye,"Bye." I said,"Bye jay." He said walking away.

"Ohh, somebodys got a boyfriend." Mocked Maddie,"Shut up." I said blushing,"So listen sorry about not haning out with you so much today." I said sincerley,"It's fine, i actually tricked you into a blind date you know." Said Maddie laughing. I laughed too,"So? What did you think about David?" Asked Maddie,"I like him, and he gave me his number." I said showing her his number,"thankyou maddie." Said Maddie,"Thanks Maddie." I said then we hugged and walked to my house.
