chapter twenty-four

i was laying in my bed watching divergeent with Ziggy, who was nibbling on my toes. i wa trying to focuse on the movie, but he kept on making me giggle. i grabbed Ziggy and put him in front of me where he laid on his back snoring. he was too cute. i rubbed his belly causing him to wake up and nibble on my fingers. i sigh and ly him back on his belly. he went back to his nap and i went back to my movie. i was getting a little hungery, so i went down stairs and grabbed a bag of cookies and snacked on a few of those for a little bit. it was alomsot to the ending, when i felt a buzz come from my overs. i looked around for my remote and pressed pause on the movie. then i looked around for my covers, trying to find my iPhone. i finally found it uner neath Ziggy, who was still sound a sleep. i grab my phone and check who texted me. it was Shawn. a big smile appeared on my face as i unlocked my phone and saw what he had texted me.

so what time do you want me to come pick you up?

i looked at my clock and saw that it was about five o'clock.

at six?

i texted

cool, i'll see you then beautiful

i texted then turned off my phone and went back to the movie.

(Shawn's pov)

i wen outside on the beach, that was convieniatly behind my house, with my guitar and started to just strum a few strings. i was just humming a song and got it stuck in my head, so i just decided to try and figure out the whole song on my guitar and actually got it in five minutes. here goes nothing.

"so we back in the club, With our bodies rockin' from side to side, Thank God the week is done I feel like a zombie goin' back to life,Hands up, and suddenly we all got our hands up,No control of my body,Ain't I seen you before? I think I remember those eyes, eyes, eyes, eyes, cuz baby tonight, dj's got us fallen in love again,Yeah, baby tonight,D-J got us fallin' in love again, So dance, dance, Like it's the last, Last night of your life, life, Gon' get you right,Cause baby tonight, D-J got us fallin' in love again." i sang then heard clapping from behind me. i turn around and see my mom walking towards me smiling,"Oh, i'm sorry for interupting, keep going." Said my mom making me chuckle,"I'm actually gonna take a break." I said setting my guitar down next to me and grabbing my hot coco from the table next to me and taking a sip from my mug,"You're an odd child, you know that?" Asked my mom,"What?"  I asked putting my mug back down on the table,"You're drinking hot coco on a beach on a warm day." Said my mom. I chuckle,"I know, but i love your coco." I said taking another sip,"You're exdrodinary, yoj know that right?" Asked my mom. I nod and give her a hug. My mom motions her head at my guitar,"Fine, i'll play for you for a little bit." I said grabbing my guitar. I thought for a moment for what i was gonna play. Then it came to my head.

"Say something, i'm giving up on you...i'll be the one, if you want me to...anywhere i would have followed you...say something, i'm giving up on you..and i...i'm feeling so small...it was over my head, i know nothing at all..." i sang making my mom's eyes grow somber and sweet. After i got done singing, my mom and i talked for a little bit.

"So you and Maddie okay?" Asked my mom

"Yeah...i really do like Maddie." I said then thought for a moment. I looked out at the bright blue beach water and the waves that kept on crashing onto the sand of the beach,"I love her..." i said looking at my mom, who looked as if she had just seen a ghost,"I know what you're thinking, i'm almost fifteen, i don't know what love is, but mom...i feel this amazing feeling when i'm around her...like...like i can fly." I said making her chuckle and giggle at the same time,"I'm serious...i love her." I said smiling,"Does she love you?" Asked my mom. I nod my head,"Then i'm very happy for the both of you." Said my mom hugging me,"thanks mom." I said muffling into her shoulder,"I'm just happy that you're so happy." Said my mom hugging me tighter.
