Chapter ten

(Back to Maddie's pov)

we were walking to Jordynn's house when Jordynn got an incoming call from someone,"Hello?" Asked Jordynn,"No...no...just leave her alone, you know how confused she is right now!" Said Jordynn looking at me,"Just stop Spencer!" Shouted Jordynn hanging up on him. I looked at her with oh no eyes,"No, he didn't." I begged,"He did he called me and wanted to know where you were." Said Jordynn,"He's acting like such a pyscho right now i swear." I said to her. We brushed it off and walked to her house.

Jordynn's house was one of those cozy houses that you wished you'd never leave. We walked into her house and took off our shoes. Then we went to her room and talked about the up coming football game. Shawn and David played football so we wanted to go to their first home game. Plus it was their first home game with the varsity boys football team. Since they're freshman they got to play on the varsity team. Which Shawn was really happy about. Jordynn and i were both gonna go to their game togther to support them.

I was scrolling through my instagram, and stumbled upon a picture of Alan and a short brunnett and blondish haired girl. His a arm was around her and she was giggling,"Um, Jordynn do you know this is?" I asked,"Jordynn was on her phone, but she walked over towards me,"Who?" Asked Jordynn,"her." I said pointing at the short blonde, brunnett girl, who was wearing a short pink dress with black heels and her hair flowing in the air,"That's Ariana Grande." She said,"who?" I asked,"The head cheerleader on the jv cheerleading squad, he's liked her for a while, but i didn't think they were gonna happen, i'm so happy for them." Said Jordynn,"She's pretty." I said,"Yeah, but an air head." I said then we both laugh(not hating on Ariana, just writing).

We watched some movies and ate some food. When we finally starting to feel all stuffed, we decided to go outside and shoot some hoops outside. She had her own basketball hoop which i thought was pretty cool. She shot about twenty-nine, when i shot eighteen. After we played a few rounds one on one we went to the park and sat on the swings and swayed in them for a little while,"So whatcha gonna do about Spence?" Asked Jordynn,"i don't know, he's just acting like such a psycho sometimes." I said. Then it was quiet again,"so the football game on friday, do you wanna come over to my house affterwards and have a sleep over?" Asked Jordynn,"sure." I said smiling,"cool, do you need carpool?" Asked Jordynn,"Yeah, thanks Jordynn... for being there for me." I said,"Your welcome, no let's talk about snacks for the sleep over." Said Jordynn.

(Shawn's pov)

David and i went outside to shoot a few hoops before he had to go to his house,"So did you like Jordynn?" I asked,"yeah, man, she's soo funny and cute." Said David dribling it inbetween his legs. I just chuckled and stole the ball from him. I dribbled in and made a layup,"that's how it's done son." I said then made him laugh,"So, uh, what's up with you and that Maddie girl?" Asked David. It was quiet for a moment as i tried to catch my breath from running around the basketball court,"We're just friends." I said finally catching my breath. David chuckles,"Man, there's no way you're gonna call that girl and you just friends." Said David stealing the ball from me and shooting it, making a three pointer and screaming in joy. He hands me the ball and i slightly smile,"Well... we were something, but she chose her ex." I said then shot it making a three pointer,"That sucks man, if it any conselation, i think you guys would look awesome together." Said David. I smile slightly,"So are you gonna tell me why your face is messed up?" Asked David. I chuckled,"Yeah, speaking of her ex....we kind of got into a fight." I said chuckling,"who won?" Asked David,"I think it was a tie, we both look messed up." I said rebounding the ball and handing it back to David who shot it and made another three pointer,"So what is Maddie gonna do about you and Spencer?" Asked David,"I don't know, but no matter what, we'll always be friends." I said smiling,"Yeah right." Said David stealing the ball from me and making a lay up,"ooowww!" Shouted David running around in joy,"Whatever!" I shouted and playfully push him onto the grass. David gets up and pushes me to the ground and we wrestle for a few minutes,"Hey you two better get on in here before your chilly gets cold." Said my mom causing us to stop wrestling and run to my house,"your all dirty!" Complained my mom,"sorry, you want a hug?" I asked trying to hug her,"no, Shawn don't you dare!" Said my mom running away from me but i ran after her. I eventually stopped chasing her after i saw the bowls of chile. I sat next to David and we ate chile.We ate and made small talk.

(Back to Maddie's pov)

After an hour of hanging out at Jordynn's house, i went home. As i walked home, i looked up and saw Spencer walking on the other side of the road. I tried to hide myself from him,but there was no where to hide. Spencer saw me and gave me a devilous scowl. I started to walk faster, when Spencer walks in front of me and stops me from walking any further. I stared up at him, and starred at his bruises, that were obviously left from Shawn.His eye was badly bruise and his hair was a complete mess. I looked deep into his eyes and was awed by how cute he still looked with all the bruises on his face. He leans in and kisses me. He passionatly kisses me for a few more minutes, then i pull away. I look up at him, and slightly slap him in his stomach,"Ouch." He whispered in pain,"What the heck, you know how confused i am right now!" I shouted angrily,"And you know how much i missed kissing you." Said Spencer then leans in and kisses me again. This time instantly push him away,"What are you doing." I said,"We belong together." Said Spencer looking deep into my eyes with sweet somber. i shook my head,"I can't Spence i can't and you know that!" I shouted then ran away,"Maddie!" He shouted running after me, but i was much faster then him, so i got away.

I got to my house, locked the door behind me, and went upstairs to my room. I got into my bed and cried myself to sleep. Why couldn't he had just left me alone!? He knows i'm confused, but he has to do this to me? I just really hate him right now! I just need to think!
