Chapter 11: On the run

"I'm coming for you Hawkie. You'll be sorry you even tried to take the akuma back. It's mine now." Vexer smiled.

I think I might have all the answers you're looking for." Cried a voice unfamiliar to them (well most of them anyways). They shook their heads and found Master Fu standing behind them. His face was completely pale. He looked scared, but also fearless. He was in tears but also angry. "My nightmare is coming to life." He said.

"And who are you supposed to be?" Chloe asked.
"He's master Fu. He's the one who gave me the cat miraculous." Adrien replied.
"Miraculous you say... Well I want one too. Hand it over old man." She said while putting her hand out. She was waiting for him to give her something but that didn't happened. There was silence.
"Young lady, don't you think there are other more important businesses you should be concerned about?" Fu asked. Her eyes widened.
"Sir, i have some questions." Max said while raising his hand.
"Yes child?" He asked.
"Why did Mariette leave Adrien's miraculous behind? Doesn't Hawkmoth want it?"
"What is he even going to do with it?" Nino added.
"Why does Mariette look the same?" Kim asked.
"More importantly, where's Ladybug?" Alya asked.
More questions came on coming and coming. Master Fu held his hand out straight to silence them.
"Children please. Let me say something too. Adrien, you talked to Ladybug. Right? Did she seem any different?" He finally asked. Adrien nodded. "No. Atleast I don't think so."
"What did she say?"
"That she's having problems remembering things. She doesn't remember what she's been doing before and after she transforms back to her civilian form."
Master Fu proposed a theory. "It appears that the akumatization doesn't affect her when she's wearing her miraculous."
"Wait ... Are you telling me that Ladybug is Mari-"
"Yes. Indeed."
Adrien shook his head.
"When was the last time you talked to her?"
"Yesterday. Why?"
"Which means in order to break the akumatization, we need her to be Ladybug again."
"... Or maybe we can just destroy that ridiculous purse of hers." Chloe suggested.
"It's worth a try, but i don't think it'll work. The akuma has affected her too much. Even Hawkmoth can't control her now. I'm afraid destroying her purse would do us no good. You have to get her to transform."
"What do you mean that Hawkmoth can't control her? Can't he just punish her for disobeying his orders?" Alya asked worriedly.
"I'm afraid not. No one should be akumatized for too long. Hawkmoth can control his victim, yes. But as time goes on, the akuma takes up permanent residence in the mind of it's owner."
"That's bad." Rose said in fear.
"Really bad." Juleka repeated. They both looked at each other in horror.

Adrien was worried the most. His friend. No! The love of his life is now a threat to everyone. Even Hawkmoth. With all that uncontrollable power, she will surely bring havoc on Paris. Maybe even the world! He had to stop her. To save her. He had to gather up all his courage and his will to save his lady. He said with a straight face. "Don't worry master. I'll bring her back. I know i can!" He was determined to fix this with his kwami by his side. Fix everything. He might have the miraculous of destruction but his heart is on the right path.

"I know you will." Master Fu encouraged.
Adrien nodded.
"And you'll need all the help you can get!" He added.
Adrien's jaw dropped. Fu gives the fox and turtle miraculouses to Alya and Nino.
"Here, you'll need these." He added.
"Wha-no! It's too dangerous!" Adrien protested.
"Well she's my best friend. I'm not leaving her like this." Alya said and put on her necklace.
"And I'm coming to keep you guys protected." Nino added.
"But-"
"Adrien. Your friends wish to help you. In order to win this match, you have to be a team player. Ladybug isn't by your side this time." Fu reasoned.
"Yeah. I guess you're right." Adrien said and then transformed in front of everyone.
"Well... Where's mine?" Chloe and Lila asked.
"Last I checked, you two were the reasons why all this happened. Perhaps it's best if you two stay out of this one." He answered.
They froze.
Fu then turned to Juleka.
"Child, give this to your brother. I'm sure he'll put it to good use." He said while handing her the snake miraculous. She nodded and ran home to give Luka his little present. Rose followed her.
