The maids sighed and cheered themselves. Their lady looked stunning!

Helen came to check on her and she smiled brightly.

"My lady you look more beautiful than the finest of roses you are indeed stunning" Helen complimented and Skye looked away shyly for some reason she had been nervous all morning but it was to be expected, she was getting married.

"Are you ready my lady?" Helen asked.

"Yes just give me a minute alone?" she asked and Helen nodded leading the other maids outside.

When they were gone she took in deep breaths. She was getting married to Zed today. Her heart thumped in her ears.

She heard a foul whistle behind her which made her jump.

"I don't think Zed will survive another day after he has seen you" a familiar voice said and she turned around to find Pharian sitting on her bed eating her breakfast.

"You came?" she asked.

"Of course and I will be present at the wedding too" he smiled standing up and walking over to her.

"How are You feeling?" He asked.

"Nervous" she replied honestly and he smiled.

"You look gorgeous Skye there is just one more thing missing" he seemed to be thinking while watching her face.

"What? She began to worry thinking the maids had gotten something wrong and he chuckled at her nervousness.

"This" he said touching her nose and she smiled.

"What?" She asked confused.

"That's it your smile" he replied and she smiled even more.

"Do you think Zed will be pleased with my outfit?" She asked.

"Trying to please your husband I see?" He taunted and she flushed, red.

"You look beautiful Skye and I think Zed would be more than impressed" Pharian assured and her smile grew.

"Thank you Pharian I hope to see you at the wedding" she smiled with a small bow.

"I will be at the wedding but see me? You may not" he laughed and disappeared just as Helen walked into the room.

"My lady the Prince has arrived" Helen informed and Skye felt her heart beat faster.

"Let's go" Skye replied standing up beginning to walk down the stairs with Helen by her side.

She felt her heart thump faster as she neared the throne room.

"Everything will be alright my lady" Helen assured her smiling with tears in her eyes that threatened to fall and Skye pulled her into a hug.

"Thank you Helen" she muttered.

"Go child you must not keep him waiting" Helen patted her back lightly. Skye nodded and kept walking the guards opened the doors of the throne for her.

The decorations were beautiful. The servants had really outdone themselves with what little time they had. She swallowed hard when she noticed the number of people present, how did her Father send some many invitations in such little time?

Picking her gown at its centre, she took in a deep breath, Head held high and chest pushed out, she began to walk towards the throne in confidence she heard whispers from people. Some disgusting ones which she decided to ignore and kept walking forward hoping not to trip. As she came closer she noticed Zed sitting near her Father but on the opposite side.

Her heart went to her throat he looked more handsome than usual, he was marvellous his black-blue hair shone under the lights his garments well-tailored and clung to his body and looking up her eyes met his and she was sad to see them red and he wasn't smiling but then his face held no expression. She felt the confidence she came out with drop heavily but she kept walking towards them.

She didn't like the way Zed looked at her wasn't she beautiful?

She had received wonderful compliments all morning but his expression looked different. She wanted to run out of the hall but she couldn't because of the numerous amount of people. Looking up as she neared the throne, her father smiled at her.

"You look beautiful" he complimented but why didn't Zed think so? She gave her father a little smile looking down and walked towards the space reserved for her next to Zed. She didn't want to see his expression he was clearly disappointed in her, while her head was down and she was lost in thoughts, she tripped on her gown and was about to fall when Zed's steel-like grip clutched her waist in a quick motion catching her.

"Be careful" he whispered making her eyes wet. She nodded and sat beside him looking down always.

The people would think she was afraid of him and some pitied her but she did not care right now.

Zed noticed she was sad and wondered why.

When he saw her walking forward in confidence he wondered if she was the same princess that stayed in his abode and as she neared he noticed her frown which made him confused, as she saw him her shoulders dropped and she lost confidence and began to walk like she was lost.

Was she angry with him? She looked marvellous he couldn't deny he was shocked and wondered if he would live through today seeing her like this, then again beside him.
