A FLASH BACK (3)

Zed felt something amiss the realization dawned on him. He had asked someone to protect his mother.

He had asked Mojo.

Mojo was dead

He fought for his mother and died.

Zed felt tears but held them back Mojo was like his brother they grew up and did everything together. Now mojo was gone.

"You bastards!!"Zed said launching at the men but a force held him to the ground and he groaned.

"Zed!" His mother cried.

"Erik stop your madness!" His mother pleaded.

"You can use me for your dumb sacrifice spare his life!" She begged.

"I'm afraid your life is no longer useful Zed's life however is perfect" Erik retorted.

"Please release her" the king pleaded and walked over to her.

The men released her and she hugged him and cried endlessly.

Zed felt hatred for Erik creeping in. He made his mother cry and killed Mojo.

"Zed come willingly" Erik urged.

"I would never obey you" he spat.

"Very well" he said then signalled to Gwen.

"Kill the king" Erik ordered and everyone was frozen.

Gwen looked at the king he was Zed's father. She didn't want to upset Zed.

"I won't do it" she said and Erik smiled.

"Zed give me your soul and I'll set them free" Erik smiled.

"No Zed don't........." the king began but was cut off as Erik stabbed his back and the blade appeared in front of his chest.

"Father!!"

"Yaga!!"

Zed and his mother screamed at the same time.

"Oh will you shut up I always hated him" Erik said drawing out his sword and the king fell to the floor

"Who are you?" Zed asked.

"The next demon lord" Erik gave an evil smile spreading on his face and all Zed could see was red.

He wanted to launch at him but Pharian shook his head at him. Pharian just watched the drama without any change in his expression.

"Will you come now?" Erik asked. Zed lowered his head and nodded not wanting him to kill anyone else.

Erik gave a sardonic smile and walked towards him.

"Gwen?" Erik called and she handed him a special dagger with engravings.

"On your knees " Erik commanded.

"After this, you release my mother" Zed said with bloodshot eyes.

He just found out who his father was and he was already dead.

"Zed don't!" his mother screamed but Erik wasted no time and plunged the dagger into his chest. The pain was extreme. He pulled out the blade and blood poured out before he fell to the floor.

"Zed No!!!" His mother shouted but Zed lay unconscious then Erik, Pharian and Gwen surrounded his almost dead body muttering ancient words to complete the ritual.

"Is he dead?" Gwen asked and Erik looked at her.

Zed seemed paler.

He watched cautiously and saw his fingertips move a bit and all of a sudden he disappeared.

"What did you do!" Erik turned to Gwen.

"I couldn't let you kill him!" Gwen retorted.

"Prepare yourself tonight you will get seriously punished.

Gwen wasn't fazed by his threats. She had accomplished her mission she had brought him into the underworld. She gave herself a satisfying smile before leaving. Pharian and Erik also left with their men leaving Zed's mother alone crying and weeping over the loss of her son. King yaga was long gone dead.

"Zed!!" She screamed his name.

"How dare you do that are you asking for death?!" Erik spat strangling Gwen and she tried to break free.

"You have no right to you are not our lord I don't even think Livermoore will become the lord, there's a new competitor stronger than any of you could imagine I can already perceive his power its unmistakable, I can feel his strong aura in the core of my bones!!" Gwen shouted.

Erik twisted her neck tightly in his hands.

He couldn't deny that she was right since he killed Zed he could feel a cold dominating aura but the boy had not awoken.

"Give me one reason to let you live?" Erik asked angrily she had just made things harder for him by bringing Zed into the equation.

When he heard Yaga call Zed the name Legge he admitted to being scared. The prophecy had spoken of one of the greatest demon lords the only one whose name was revealed he went by the name 'LEGGE'.

And Gwen's foolishness caused him to be a living dead.

"You won't because you need me" she finally replied after letting him think he glared at her then threw her away and left the room slamming the door.

She smiled at herself leaving the room she went to where Zed was.
