Mayonaka no Orchestra is my current favorite Naruto Shippuden ending song^.^ my love for it is tantamount to that of Blue Bird.

Nowadays whenever I look at my "recommended" stories section this one is always there and I'm like: OMG WATTPAD ACHKNOWLEDGES THIS NOVEL'S EXISTENCE

What is it with me and Caps Lock.....

I absolutely love all you dear readers.

Sorry, but I don't plan on revealing the deep dark secret to Kansen or you guys yet.

Mwahahahahaha~

Light flooded through her closed eyelids as the sphere of water imprisoning Kansen was ripped apart with the sheer force.

She had been underwater for a few minutes, and her air supply was quickly depleting in her paralyzed body. It was no longer a question of escaping from an unknown enemy in the tangled world of strategy, it was a question of survival: Do you want to live or not?

Of course her answer was yes.

When faced with the primal instinct to survive, surface lies are stripped away. Kansen suddenly felt a power running through her body, ready for use. It was not new, it had been there a long time. She had simply never noticed. It had always hid under what she called her "own" abilities.

This vein of power gave off a different vibe than the rest...........ancient, destructive. There were definitely going to be some nasty repercussions. It could very well kill her. But she didn't have a choice, did she?

The jinchuriki felt the seal marks on her neck and forehead heat up to a scalding temperature.

Eddies of orange seeped from her body and joined the blue water in its incessant dance, two colors from opposite sides of the color wheel.

When her red slit pupiled eyes opened slowly like a rising door with a sea of blood on the other side, logic, emotions, all of those things that makes someone human, had disappeared. Faded behind the now prominent store of power, threatened to be buried forever.

The orange chakra consolidated and ripped apart the water prison from the inside out, spraying drops and water vapor throughout the hallway.

The creator of the Water Style jutsu was taken down a tenth of a second later. Four deep slash marks were gouged into his neck, and his head turned sharply to the side from the strength of the attack. His blood mixed with the water in the air.

An orange flame aura surrounded Kansen. Claws on her hand dripped blood. The power felt good. She enjoyed this feeling of being the strongest.

Why was she here......? There was no space.

She detected wind above the ceiling above her head.

Niju and Penami were left in shock when their teammate disappeared and a gaping hole in the concrete roof was created. They saw Kansen trapped in the water sphere, and then she was just gone, their enemy lying dead on the floor.

Cutting through the foliage, the jinchuriki leaped into open sky, a tail of chakra whipping behind her. No, not her. At this point the humanoid demon was an it.

The cold permeated her skin.

She dimly recalled voices and water.

Speaking of water.........she was on a rock in the middle of a lake. Yes, a rock.

A megalith with a flat tip protruding from the water surface. Kansen abruptly sat up, then collapsed again. God, her entire body hurt. Even the slightest twitch hurt her limbs. She tried again, slower this time, attempting to avoid upsetting any of her sore muscles. Key word: attempt. She winced when she accidentally put just a little too much strain on her arm. Well, at least she ended up in a sitting position that somewhat made the ache subside.
