Yay for 100 reads! This will probably be the last chapter of this arc.
"So, give me an update of what happened."
"Alright. First, you sent me to get Kansen. We got intercepted by Hanito and Hareto. Hareto captured Kansen, leaving Hanito to deal with me. I managed to defeat her after a while, catching up to Boruto, Sarada, and Kansen right after they defeated Hareto. That is all," Senai summarized for the Nara. When she left out the details, it really was quite short.
"Good enough. Now, go find the Grass stragglers. By what happened to the five here, they're probably all dead as well. The rest of you, help out the civilians. Scatter!" He ordered.
The group of shinobi of all ranks that had gathered on top of the Hokage's tower immediately dispersed in different directions.
"We'll go to the locations of Hanito and Hareto," Senai told Kansen. "Oh, and here's your scarf. I picked it up on the way here."
The redhead's eyes widened at the light green piece of cloth in her guardian's hand. She frantically felt her neck, confirming that her scarf really was gone. "Thanks," she said, taking the scarf. She should probably hide the marks on her neck. No point in attracting attention.

By the time they got to Hanito's body, there was but a charred, vaguely human shaped soot stain on the wooden roof that had originally been covered in tiles.
"By the looks of it, she disintegrated quite a while ago. Whatever Daziru did, it sent out a signal that destroyed the bodies of all the Grass shinobi, whether they were alive or not," Senai remarked.
"It was so that we couldn't get any Kekkei Genkai and things like that, right?" Kansen questioned.
"Precisely," the orange haired jonin looked over the buildings within her range of vision on all directions. "This will take quite a while to repair all damage, but looks like there wasn't anything too destructive. It's a lot better than what happened 34 years ago when Pain invaded."
"The entire village was squashed, right?"
"Well, I wouldn't say squashed, but it was completely obliterated. You know what happened next. Well, you should, anyway."
"The Seventh showed up, having mastered Sage Mode, and beat him," After a short pause, Kansen continued quietly. "And he lost control of the Kyuubi's power."
"Damn right he did." The bijuu's comment cut into her thoughts again, this time with more intensity than the other ones. It almost revived her headache.
The jinchuriki chose to ignore her demon this time.
"After this, can you actually teach me how to use weapons, Senai?" She looked up at her guardian hopefully.
Senai smiled. "In fact, I was planning to later this week. We'll do some training next chance we get, deal?"
"Deal."
Sorry this chapter was short and weird :/
I'm bad at tying up loose ends, so you're probably going to be seeing a lot of cliffhangers in this story.
Next chapter will be four years later, when Kansen graduates the academy. Can you guess who her sensei will be?
