Chapter 9: Prince Zeus

"Healing?! How could he possibly heal from that?!" Naruto exclaimed exasperatedly, tears continuously falling from his eyes.
"Of course I need to help him, he can't heal from this on his own."
"Wait wait wait- is no one going to question the fact that he called him PRINCE Zeus?" Kakashi narrowed his eyes, glaring at Shin, "How do we know we can trust you?"
"If you don't, it's going to take a much longer time for Zeus to heal from the injury YOU caused. So, take it or leave it."
"No- the fact that you called him a Prince." Sasuke stood up and reached for a kunai in his belt. Before he could pull it out, haku stopped him, "i thought it was just a rumor- the fact that The Kami clan is still alive. I didn't even connect the dots... I thought it was just a coincidence."
"The Kami clan? He has a clan?" Sakura questioned, only causing Shin to sigh.
"He used to- he never knew his mother and father though."
"What happened to them?" Sakura continued to question Shin, who only deadpanned at her. 'Is she seriously going to continue to question me while Zeus is still bleeding out?'
Haku, who seemed to realize what he was thinking, spoke out loud, "How about we question him while he heals Zeus?" They all nodded in agreement, drying their tears and stared at Shin with puffy, red eyes.
"Alright, let's go then." Shin turned around and shot off in the direction of the Kami Clan, with a bleeding Zeus in his arms, as the others followed him.

-Time Skip-

After the group finally arrived at the kami clan grounds, Shin moved towards the centermost and biggest building. Sasuke looked around, feeling somber as he thought back to his own clan. 'I can't believe... he lost his clan too', he thought as his black eyes stared sadly at Zeus' pain-filled face. The group followed Shin inside the building, looking around in awe at the large building. He walked toward the center of the building, where a large bed lay.
"This is the healing quarters for those who are gravely injured- the reason there is only one bed is because it is rare for Kami clan members to be so gravely injured. So there are usually only 1-2 members who would need to be healed at the same time."
"Then... why was it so easy to injure Zeus?" Kakashi reluctantly stated as he sadly looked at his student. Shin proceeded to place Zeus on the table, runes along the sides glowing majestically, "He... is a special case lets just say. He wasn't taught by his members on how to channel his chakra in a way that prevents him from being gravely injured. Only clan members can pass that on." Shin walked to the side of the large room and grabbed a bowl of silver needles. 
"You can take a seat on the side, it might be awhile before he gains consciousness." Shin said as he pointed to a row of chairs on the side of the building. Team 7, Zabuza and Haku all looked at each other and nodded before heading over to the chairs.
"This... was an unexpected outcome of our fight..."
"Be glad the brat isn't dead. I might not have known him for a long time, but I know he's going to be an important person in the future. He even saved us when he didn't need to...." Zabuza whispered to a guilty Kakashi, who only sadly smiled in response.
Shin stared down at Zeus and sadly smiled, "I had hoped it would've been longer before I would have to take you here..." Shin brushed his fingers through Zeus' hair and stroked his cheeks.
"I'll heal you then I'll give you a stern talking to..." He chuckled once more before holding his hands above Zeus' body, "I hold onto thee, for you are of the Kami clan- and I am your protector, Shin Reunold, of the Reunold clan protectors. I hold onto thee to heal of one's mistakes, wounds, and all sins. Come forth to us again in pure and healed form."he began chanting, as the huge wound that left a hole in Zeus' stomach began to heal.

"That's not... how normal healing jutsu is done- right?" Sakura asks, as she turns to her teacher in confusion. Kakashi shakes his head in response, "No... maybe this is something only known by the Kami clan."
After a few more minutes of Shin's chanting, he finally stopped, and stepped away from Zeus' body. "It's done, now we just have to wait for him to gain consciousness." Shin says, sweat rolling down his face as he pants and sits on the ground, "I haven't healed in a long while, so I'm sort of out of practice. I had hoped it wouldn't have taken a long time for him to need healing, but I guess with his personality I'm also not that surprised." He smiled a half-smile and looked at the group at the side of the building.
"How are you all doing?'
"Much better, knowing he will not die." Haku softly smiled, mask in hand as he gazed at Zeus.
"He's definitely not dying in my watch, that for sure." Shin chuckles and stands back up, wiping his hands on his pants. He then moves Zeus to take off his shirt,"YOU PERVERT!!!"
Shin flinched at the pound voice and turned to NARUTO, who was pointing at him with an angry red blush on his face.
"Why are you stripping Zeus?! You won't be taking advantage of him with me around!" With a battle cry, he charged at Shin who only moved out of the way. Startled at the sudden movement, Naruto tripped and landed straight on his face,"Ow!"
"For your information, I'm not 'taking advantage of him', I'm getting him into clean clothes. I'm sure he wouldn't want to be in gross and bloody clothes when he woke up."
"...oh."
"BAKA!" Sakura's shrill voice exclaimed as she hit Naruto's head, "Don't accuse people so quickly, idiot!"
"Sakura-chaaaaan." Naruto whined in pain as he held his swelling head.
"My teammates... are idiots. Save for Zeus of course." Sasuke deadpanned as he watched from the sidelines as Shin continued to dress Zeus in clean clothes while ignoring the loud duo.
"You have some rowdy brats, don't you?" Zabuza watched in amusement while Kakashi sighed, "They're a lot of work, those two..."
A sudden pained groan broke the silence, everyone turning their heads to the source of the noise.
"Zeus!!" Naruto shouted and rushed over and tackled him in joy. Sasuke, seeing that Zeus grimaced in slight pain, rushed over and pulled Naruto off of him by the collar of his orange jacket. "Dobe! He just woke up, don't go screaming and tackling him like some crazy animal!!" He scowled at the pouting Naruto, "Don't tell me what to do...teme..."
Zeus chuckled and turned slightly on the platform, "It's nice to see you guys acting the same- I was going to be worried you would be-" he was cut off by Shin smacking the back of his head, "Well I know I'm extremely upset! I came back only to find you with a gaping wound in your chest- I told you time and time again to be more careful when it came to fighting !!" He yelled at Zeus who was holding the back of his head in pain, "You're going to further injure me after healing me? Hypocrite..." Zeus mumbled, and before Shin could further lecture him Kakashi came and smacked the back of his head, in the same spot Shin had done.
"Are we really just going to keep attacking me?!" Zeus yelled in annoyance, but quickly quieted down after seeing a heated glare in Kakashi's eye.
"You know how scared I was?! Don't just go throwing yourself in front of any attack! That's exactly how you get killed!" Zeus stares sadly at his Sensei and nods, "I know- I just didn't know what to do... I didn't want you to hurt them... they didn't deserve it..." Zabuza and Haku walked over to him, Haku holding his mask in his hands with a sad smile on his face.
"I know you wanted to save us, but you're just a young brat with a whole life ahead of ya. Don't just go throwing it away for any person."
"But-!" Zeus perked up, trying to defend himself only to be caught off guard by soft lips pressing against his cheek.
"Thank you." Haku whispered in his ear, and moved back to see a bright blush coating Zeus' cheeks.
"I-I, uh y-you're welcome." He stuttered shyly while trying to hide his face from everyone, being unable to see all the angry glares sent Haku's way.
"It was brave of you, but like everyone is saying, please don't go throwing yourself away." Haku's soft voice echoed in Zeus' ears as he smiled back at him.
"I'll be sure to think before I do so, promise." Silence fell over the group, before Shin clapped his hands, "Now, how about a quick meal then we'll head back to Tazuna's house?"
