Chapter 10: We Meet Again

Hello everyone! Sorry for the late update- again.
I'm getting ready to graduate so a lot of things have popped up! Including AP's and things like that :)

On our way back to Tazuna's house, we were met with Gato and his men on the bridge.
"Well look and see who's finally back, Eh? Seeing as they aren't dead I hope you don't expect to be paid." Gato smirked at Zabuza, as his men behind him pulled out their weapons. "Well, stupid oof man, I hope you don't expect to live after panning to betray me."
"W-What?! Who told you this?!" Gato growled then pointed to us, "Kill them!!" His men yelled out a war cry and charged at us, As Zabuza pulled out his sword and easily slayed the men. Kakashi, Sasu-chan, and Naru-chan all followed suit, Sasuke using his newly formed Sharingan and his fire jutsus to fight the men. Naru-Chan using his many shadow clones to fight the men as well. Shin forced me to stay behind in case I wasn't fully healed, "But I want to help..." I poured as Shin shook his head.
"I don't want to risk it."
"Fine fine..." Another war cry was heard, and I turned my attention to the villagers who were being led by Inari, waving their horns and pitchforks at the men. Gato, being heavily wounded by Zabuza's slashes, shakily yelled "R-Retreat!!" And so Gato and his men were chased off.
"We sure did scare him!" Naru-chan sheepishly said as he rubbed his nose, "I bet it was because I was so strong!"
I sweat dropped at his confidence, "Dobe..." Sasu-Chan mumbled as he walked over to me and I wrapped an arm around his shoulders.
"You were super cool big bro!" Inari yelled at Naruto, who rubbed the back of his head, "Really?" Tazuna walked over to us and humphed, "Well then, I guess we can go ahead and call this bridge the Great Naruto Bridge, in honor of your coolness."

After a few more hours of Team 7 packing up we were finally ready to head back to Konoha.
"Are you going to come with us?" I ask Zabuza and Haku, who both shake their heads.
"It wouldn't end well for us, since we are technically murderers. Don't worry though, brat, we'll write to you." I smile at Zabuza, who puts me into
a headlock and ruffles his hair.

"Ow ow! Okay I won't worry then." I fixed my hair once Zabuza let me go.

"C'mon kiddos! We have to get back to Konoha now." I pouted as Kakashi walked over with a closed-eye smile.
"I'm sure you'll see them again one day, Zeus." Kakashi put a hand on his shoulder as Shin, in his wolf form, walked over.

"SO THAT'S WHO YOU WERE!" Naruto shouted, startling everyone, as he pointed at Shin. He only huffed and turned his head away, I burst out laughing and scratched behind Shin's ear.
"Yeah, he's my guard, but also one of my closest friends."
"You hear that Shin? Frieeeendsss." Naru-chan smirked with hands on his hips before Sakura smacked the back of his head.
"Ow! Sakura-chaaaan."
"Shut up Naruto! You're being too mean." Zabuza laughed and waved, leaving with Haku in his tow.
"I believe that's our cue to leave now." Kakashi said, as he started walking in the direction of Konoha, the rest of Team 7 and Shin followed behind.
