"And what would you like sir?"

It was 3 hours later and I was at my job waiting and bussing tables at this restaurant 49 minutes away from campus. Nia asked me if she applied for the job if I would give in a good word for her, I said yes even though I didn't know her that well and I had only been working at this job for a month.

A 10 hour shift I had. I walked to the bus stop dreaming of having a car of my own. I felt like I was being watched, but I was in a crowded area so I felt no sign of danger.

I walked 5 minute to the bus stop from my job and waited for 30 minutes. The damn bus was late.

"I feel like you're stalking me."

"Oh my fucking god!"  I said startled by the voice that came from behind me. I was distracted by my phone so had no idea he had walked up to me.

"Don't do that YO…. that shit is not funny."

He smiled and I couldn't help but smile back. It was Evans and even with my attraction to him I was a little creeped out on how he knew I was here.

"I was walking…" he turned around to point at a bar a block from my job.

"From there and I saw a beautiful girl distracted, alone on her phone, I had to make sure they were ok."

"It's a Tuesday night... why would you be at a bar 50 minutes away from campus?"

"My apartment is around here…." He looked around with his hand in his pocket.

"Somewhere… So what are you doing here?"

"I work right there." I pointed to the restaurant.

"Really? For how long because I go there…. Most of the time." He said tilting his head left and right.

"For a month now but I'm here really waiting for the late ass bus." I said a bit irritated.

"Well I could drive you to your home if you'd like… we just have to walk to my car."

I squinted my eyes

"No no…" he said immediately taking his hand out of his pocket and waving it rapidly.

"It's not a pick up move or anything it's just I parked a little far, I left my car at the parking... place"

I shook my head, "If you end up kidnapping me..."

"No.. not yet."

I turned around quick and saw his stupid, amazing smile that automatically made me smile back, even though I wanted to seem serious.

"So what are you into? Like hobbies and stuff"

"A Lot. I know a little about alot of things. I like painting or drawing… acting… hair… I already told you these things."

"I always wanna hear anything that interests you, over again even."

I half smiled.

"No! I wanna hear about you. I barely know anything about you.

"Well…", he said, "ask me some questions."

I thought about it, I couldn't think about much to ask besides how old he was and if he was a professor at the university, so I pulled something from the air.

"Where are you from?"

"Uh Romania."

"Really"

"Yeah, I might not sound like it but yeah"

We walked up to a clean grey Chevy at the end of the first level or a 4 story big parking garage, I had no idea what it was connected to. He walked in front of and opened the passenger side door for me.

I went into the car and he got into the driver's side and started up the car.

We sat there in silence as he backed out of the garage and onto the road, it was a stick shift, so I just watched him.

His eyes turned away for a second from the road onto me, and then to the road again.

"What'd you eat today?"

I chuckled, "I don't know…." I had nothing else to say.

"Ok well do you want something to eat?"

We passed by the bus stop I was previously fermented at and the bus still wasn't there, then we passed by the bar Evans pointed out to me.

"You're not drunk right?" I said, a little anxious.

"If I was I wouldn't put you in the car with me… I drank 4 club sodas…,he shrugged, I was mostly there to talk with a friend of mine."

"What'd you guys talk about?"

We approached a stop light and I realized my seat belt wasn't on, Evans realized before me, he looked at me and reached over to clip it on for me. He made sure to keep his distance from my torso and I just watched his hand go across. He continued driving.

"Do you want some in and out?"

I shrugged, I was hungry but I didn't want to eat much today again, at least not in front of him.

"Come on."

After driving for a little Evans parked in the parking lot of an In n Out and he got out, before I had even broken my seat  belt off he opened the passenger side door for me. We walked in, me first because he opened the door for me.

I had never been to in and out , even with me living he for a month, I feel like Evans knew that because he stepped in front of me and when the cashier asked what we wanted he order for the both of us

"Go find us a seat princess."

I had already started walking when I heard what he said. I didn't smile, but I felt myself go weak a little and I turned around, I expected him to say "oops" or "sorry" but he didn't, he was looking straight at the register on the line to pick up and he never looked back at me.

So I walked up to the table at the end of the row of tables along the window and sat down at the end of the table in front of the window. I placed my elbow on the table and let my chin rest on my hand, I stared at him, he was wearing his blue button down shirt from before without the tie and suit and a few buttons undone and the top. He wasn't wearing his glasses, his hair was in a perfect curly mess.

He walked up to me with our food and I looked down at my lap when he approached.

"Is there something the matter?"

"No." I immediately said shaking my head.

He looked at me, I couldn't tell as what, his eyes gave off want, like I was something that he wanted, I didn't know though, I saw his hands clenched into a fist and back out again, I felt a need too, I was 19 and had never been in a relationship, I had never kissed anyone, and I felt like he wanted to lean over and kiss me, or maybe that's what I wanted him to do to me. He dropped his stare and sat down.

"So how were your classes?" I asked, hesitant on taking out my food.

He gave me his smile and took out what seemed to be my bag of food and placed it in front of me, and then did the same for himself.

"It was great, I believe this college year will be a good one."
