I paced in front of Evans' apartment door thinking of what I'd say. I knocked on Evans' door confidently. I took a bit but he opened I looked up at him

Evans POV

I looked down and saw Jada staring back up at me. She had a long sleeve gray dress on. Her hair had a side part and her heels were off. She had her glasses on too. She was holding her heels in her hand and her purse under her arm. She looked mad and passed by me to get in. I didn't say anything, I just looked at her.

Jada POV

He was shirtless and hand grey sweats on, like usual. I placed my heels on the floor and looked at him. His eyes scattered my body and I felt butterflies. I couldn't pay attention to him looking at me like that. I closed my eyes and spoke.

"I know I hurt you. I know I'm a bad person to you. And that you broke up with me."

"I didn't break up with you."

I opened my eyes and looked at him.

"I said we needed a break. I could never break up with you."

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes again.

"I can't- I- need to-"

I couldn't think. I felt his eyes on me. He didn't break up with me.

"Am I still yours?"

My heart was beating out of my chest as I felt his fingers on my chest flip the necklace to HIS.

I put my hands on his and he laid his hand flat on my chest. My eyes stayed closed.

"You need to calm down, your heart is going crazy."

I shook my head, "I can't."

He backed up and took his hand off of me.

"So why are you here?"

I slowed my breath, but I didn't know anymore.

"I don't know."

"You don't know?"

I opened my eyes. I flinched at the sight because I didn't see him. I turned around and he was in the kitchen making himself a drink. I walked over and cautiously sat on the stool.

"How have you been?"

"It's been two months. Not much has changed."

"That's not pleasing to hear."

"Yeah I guess your method didn't work."

"You know I work at your school right?"

He gave me a smile and it filled my eyes. And then he looked down.

"I'm glad to hear you're working on the group idea you had, how's your progress?"

I sighed and stretched my arms and shrugged.

"It's great my teacher is all for it and we got the councils say. We set up signs around the school. Hopefully people come."

"Great. How are your grades?"

"You sound like my dad."

"Well..."

"They're good too."

"That's good."

He passed me a drink.

He leaned on the counter and looked blankly at the cupboards.
