In the nascent light,
Windowsill shines
You come every fortnight
And I abide grieving at your sight

Not a week goes without your arrival,
Then you greet me
With your absonant melodies
And that twinkling smile fades untemporarily.

Heart slowy sinks
Wistfully,
Unblissfully
In your harsh captivity.

Surrendered, I swallow,
The lump of truth
and you fly away
Leaving only scarce clues.

Again in that newborn light,
The windowsill shines
But you didn't come this time
And I abide smiling at this sight.

Perceived, you'll come again
That night, holding hands with fright I overspend.
Afresh, I hear your tune
In an infant noon.

You flap your wings,
And the breeze let tears drift down my eyes.
Were you trying to teach me something?
Do you symbolise nothing?

Once more, heart sinks
Unmercifully,
Ungracefully
In your harsh yet true captivity.

This continues,
As I sigh with no relief
And I decide to call you grief.

You will loose them
The one you loved.
You will misplace them
The one you lived for,
And it'll be accompanied by grief and sorrow,
But still, there will come a new tomorrow.
