The warm hues provided by the scorching sun that burned anything or anyone in its way seeped through the slight gaps between the night curtains that had yet to be drawn. Kiyoomi and Atsumu were both home for the day and sat comfortably in their shared bedroom. Kiyoomi sat at the corner of their bed reviewing the files from his last case, reading glasses perched on the bridge of his nose with his eyebrows scrunched together while he focused on the document in hand. Files and papers were spread out on their bed and the raven's back was hunched as he scrutinised the fine print on the white paper. Atsumu's back was supported by the headboard of their bed, phone in hand while his bed hair was still intact due to the lack of styling when he had woken up that morning. One of the many white T-shirts that Kiyoomi owned was draped over Atsumu's lean but built form as his eyes flickered up to his husband's form in front of him. Thin lips were pressed into a loving smile while the gaze softened at the sight of a focused Kiyoomi bent over his work trying to complete the last minute work assigned to him so that he could spend the rest of the day with his husband.

The couple were now in their late 40s early 50s and Atsumu's fame was still skyrocketing. Kiyoomi's law firm had also gained some well-deserved popularity which meant more work for the lawyers who worked day and night to bring justice to this cruel world. A soft click sound snapped Kiyoomi from his daze and he turned his head to his husband with a quirked eyebrow. Atsumu's hearty and loving laugh filled his ears and he couldn't help but feel a small play at his lips as he abandoned his almost completed work to kiss his beautiful husband. Small smile lines were visible on the blonde's face as a testimony of how much he smiled and laughed throughout his life and how much he enjoyed his time on earth. Kiyoomi placed a quick kiss on Atsumu's cheek and smiled at the boy who was now clinging onto his arm, giggling like a child, but a cute one at that. Kiyoomi let out an airy chuckle before going back to wrap up his work with his husband still wrapped around his bicep.

"Ok I'm finally done." Kiyoomi said to himself as he reached his hands over his head to stretch his aching back. Man, ageing was really getting to him. He looked over to his side and was met was met with a sleeping Atsumu. He smiled and kissed his forehead one more time before standing up slowly as to not stir the boy and walked out to the backyard for a smoke. Once outside, he rested his forearms on the railing and lit a cigarette in his mouth before taking a drag. The smoke clouded his vision and filled his lungs. Of course, Atsumu and his family had told him to stop smoking and of course he knew the effects of smoking but it wasn't as easily said as done. Smoking was addictive to him and he couldn't seem to fight the instinct to take a smoke whenever he was stressed out by work, which was too often.

It didn't help that many of his colleagues also smoked and would ask if he wanted to join them. He had tried to stop but only managed to go a week without it. With much help, he had at least began to smoke less and less so now he would only smoke at most once a week which was a great improvement from his past at least 2 times a day. He could now use 1 packet for about 2 months or more and Atsumu was more than proud of him. Atsumu had always been a source of undying motivation for Kiyoomi in everything he did and Kiyoomi wouldn't know what to do if they'd never met. Thankfully, they did.
