"Omi-kun...?" A soft voice caressed Kiyoomi's eardrums as he turned his head to face he open glass door behind him. A small smile was painted onto his face as he watched his groggy husband walk up to him. The oversized white T-shirt hung off the blonde's tall frame and came to rest just above the hem of his shorts at mid-thigh. The collar tilted to the right, revealing the soft skin the wrapped his collar bone as a hand come to scratch his bleached blonde hair.
Atsumu walked up to where his husband had discarded the cigarette and hugged him. The toxic air that filled his lungs made him scrunch his nose as he looked up at his laughing husband. "Told ya ta stop smokin. 'S bad fer yer health." Atsumu slurred sleepily as his arms wrapped around Kiyoomi's small waist, cheeks pressed against the taller's neck as his eyelids dropped down to block the light. Kiyoomi's fingers came up to rest in the other's hair as they slowly massaged his scalp soothingly. They bathed in the soft orange hues that came with sunset as they just enjoyed each other's silent presence.
It was rare that they got to spend time together like this with their busy, non-stop schedule and travels. And whenever they had an off day, they would often still have a lot of work to complete which resulted in limited time where they could just be together and tune out the rest of the world to focus on the love of their life. Thankfully for them, they were able to get breaks at the same time despite the overflowing pile of work being assigned.
Unlike their younger days where they would travel the world together and go on adventures, the couple now found it more enjoyable to just stay at home and bask in each other's presence instead of stepping out. They were already in their early 40s and damn that was taking a toll on them. Kiyoomi and Atsumu used to be able to go through a whole day of work and still come home to exercise together. However, as time passed, they found their energy getting drained faster and faster as if someone was slowly turning up the speed of the vacuum that sucked up their energy.
The couple wouldn't complain though. Although they weren't as energetic as they used to be when in their 20s, they were still contented. They were just happy to be with each other and that was all they needed. They were contented with their lives and wouldn't have it any other way. Or maybe just with more time together.
Kiyoomi continued to massage the older's scalp as he buried his nose into Atsumu's surprisingly soft hair, inhaling the smell of shampoo with a smile on his face. His eyes drooped down and his breathing slowed as he just let himself tune out and focus on their heart beats and synced breathing. He could feel Atsumu smile against his neck as well as they just stayed like that for god knows how long without moving an inch. A comfortable silence fell over them like a blanket while the orangey red tones painted their features a softer colour, silent breezes dancing on their skin while the birds hummed a peaceful tune in the trees that swayed along. Everything was perfect. Nothing was out of place. Just Kiyoomi with the love of his life in his arms, swaying to the steady beat of their hearts. Nothing else mattered. No one else mattered. Just two souls dancing together in the beautiful sunset that streamed through the gaps of the tall buildings to reach the loving duo.
