"Hello, is this a bad time?" The doctor stood at the door of Kiyoomi's ward, looking at the couple. Kiyoomi shook his head and motioned for the doctor to come in. Atsumu joined his husband on the edge of the bed as the doctor sat down in a chair. "Sorry if I was interrupting something. I just have a few things I need to talk to the both of you about." The man paused, looked at the lovers before continuing. "Well, I'm sorry to say that Mr Sakusa's condition isn't getting much better and we may have to subject him to more intensive treatment. However, we need your green light on this matter as it will be painful and could even cause him to be permanently bedridden. I'll allow you both to think about it and discuss the matter first. Please inform me when you make your decision. Take care." The doctor concluded, standing up and bowing before attending to the next patient.

To say both of them were shocked would be an understatement. They sat in silence for a while before Atsumu broke it, turning to the raven with tears in his eyes. "Omi... please..." Kiyoomi simply stared at his husband. Of course he wanted to get better and stay with the love of his life more. He had so many things he wanted to do. So many things he wanted to say. So many places he wanted to bring Atsumu. He wanted to be able to keep telling him how much he loved him. But even if he did get better from the treatment, he'd be bedridden which would make him a burden on Atsumu. "Tsumu... I can't..." The raven looked down at his lap, closing his eyes to stop the tears from falling. "But... ya... you... YOU'LL DIE!" Atsumu cried, body shaking violently as he doubled over himself, sobs racking through his entire being.

"Tsumu... I'll be bedridden.. I'll be a burden on you... I can't do that..." Kiyoomi stated, moving to lift his lover's head, looking into the same honey brown eyes that had always been mesmerising to him. The raven placed a lingering kiss on the blonde's forehead before hooking an arm around him and pulling him into a tight embrace. They just sat there, Atsumu's cries serenading them as Kiyoomi held him together, grounding him and comforting him. Atsumu clung onto the back of Kiyoomi's hoodie as he soaked it in tears. The soft rays of sunlight streamed through into the room as they just embraced each other, not saying anything but at the same time saying so much.

It was gonna be a tough decision, they knew that. However, that doesn't mean they were ready to face it but there wasn't anything they could do since the bridge was infront of them and death wasn't that far behind. They had to make a choice of crossing it, or hiding away and hoping they wouldn't be found.
