Chapter 29

The police gather around a house with guns. They received order an hour ago and had stood their guard since.

"S-so this is his house?" Hongjoong ask nervously with trembling lips.

Yeosang nod, as nervously as the other was. Lee Hyunmin was indeed a good killer and escaped easily without leaving any evidence, or so they thought.

But the boxes Semi hid behind her work desk had so many evidence which the others failed to find.

'Stupid Semi'

Yeosang keep scolding her in his head and bit his lips. 'Just hang on, we are almost close to you now'.

"Why don't we just move in?", Hongjoong ask impatiently again and started walking towards the door only to be stopped by the others.

"He killed four people without a trace, we don't know what he has in there, we have to act wisely!", the team leader scold him and he has tear beaming up inside his eyes already.

If he is so dangerous, then would Semi still even be alive?

Losing her again would hurt like a new pain. He had left her to die before and he is not going to do that again. Without a word, he sprinted off and shoot the door lock down.

A few more Police officers follow him seeing that it was no use and they all look from left to right searching for the culprit.

The house wasn't that big so they quickly finish searching everywhere with nothing in sight.

They were close to giving up until Hongjoong noticed the floor of certain spot having a different sound.

He call for the others and they pull the carpet away and there, they saw a hidden door to the underground.

Quickly they remove the door and he jump down and ran to the dark path until it reach another door. They hesitant to go in at first, what if there lies Semi's death body?

His hands were shaking again at the thought but their ears perk up when they heard sound from the inside.

"So why don't we just escape this place together!"

It is a woman's voice Hongjoong quickly recognize it as the love of his life.

It was continued by grunting and fighting and they quickly break the door to went inside. When the door was opened, they saw a woman lying on the floor and a man with knife walking towards her but as he heard the sound of the door being break down, he look back but his arms were ready to stab the woman.

bang bang bang

Several Police officers shot their fire at the man and Lee Hyunmin fell down with bloods covering his body. But Hongjoong's gun was never fired, not even once.

He had a panic attack seeing the woman he loved for so many years was lying with blood and bruised covering her face and body. It was as if time had stop until the others shook him out of it and he ran towards the body lying on the floor.

They quickly let the others outside the house know and to call 911. Hongjoong held Semi in his arms securely and whisper with tears streaming down his face.

Please just this once, I won't beg for more. Even if you are not mine again, I won't complain. Please, just stay alive.
