Chapter 8

The atmosphere was awkward after Semi unconciously blurted out that she was suspecting San. His eyes turns cold and take an U turn before driving her back to the office.

She knew she hit the wrong spot but was it wrong for her to state her opinion? It wssnt even like she talked to the police department about it.

The whole ride back was silent and San didnt utter a word until they reached her office.

"Lets go on a date another day. I realized I have a very important thing to do"

Semi was lost at words and freed herself from the seat belt slowly. San still avoiding eye contact as she went out.

"And Semi, I promise you I have nothing to do about this so you can stop suspecting me"

His voice was rather intimidating and Semi head back gloomily. She knew she will have to apologize later and just go back for the time being. Seing Yunho and Yeosang playing around instantly clear her thought and she laugh at them.

"Stop acting like a child you two!"

Upon hearing her voice, the two look up from photobombing each other and ran to her side.

"Didnt think you'd come today!", Yunho excitedly hug her and Semi smiled at his warmness. He was always the best hugger.

"I didnt think I'd come too but something happened. And hello to you too Yeosang!"

Yeosang scoff and flick her forhead.

"Why? Something happened?"

Yeosang has always been the first person to noticed if things went wrong and sometimes, Semi really hated him for it because she cant keep a secret and he always know how to make her spill it.

"San aksed me out on a date but yeah, things happened and he dropped me off here instead"

"Things? What things?"

"Yeosang stop being nosy and let the girl settle down"

Semi quietly thank Yunho as he gave her an okay sign. He was also the best supporter she have and she really appreciate him.

"And like Yunho said, its a thing between us so I'm not telling you anything else other than this Yeosang"

Yeosang raised his eyebrows as if challenging her and went to his table.

"You'll do it no matter what. You always do"

She rolled her eyes and threw a pen at him. He meant that she will spill all the tea when they went for a drink and Semi being unable to control her alcohol tolerance, always end up getting drunk and spill her secrets, one by one.

After working silently for the whole day, they decided to call it a day and the three of them leave the building together.

"So, are we up for a drink?", Yunho asked just like how she feared and sigh loudly. However they were disturb by a car pulling on the side way as Seonghwa rolled down the car window.

"Can I borrow her?", he casually smile at them and Semi chuckle.

"She's all yours mister Park", Yunho joke and Semi enter the car after giving Yunho a look and seeing a doubtful face on Yeosang.

"Sorry Yeo, we'll drink another time and I'll make sure to spill the tea!", she shouted as Seonghwa already started driving, leaving Yeosang's lip to curve up a little bit.

"Its just you and me tonight buddy", Yunho put a hand on Yeosang's shoulder and they both went for the drinks.

"Why are you picking me up suddenly?", Semi ask Seonghwa and he simply smile at her.

"You'll see"

Semi roll her eyes for how many times that day and look out the car window. It felt peaceful and her eyes slowly dropped. Seonghwa sees this and his eyes softened.

He always love the calm look on her face. The smile on her face when she was happy and not some pyche faces she made when she was disturb by her trauma.

If he could, he would take away all of her pain and memories that haunt her but he was not God and he wasnt able to do that.

"I hope I'm helping you"

He whisper and continue driving to watch the fireworks with her.
