Chapter 2

"I thought she was San's date when they first came in"

"Dude! How did you find such a gorgeous girlfriend?"

"I feel like I've seen her before but I'm sure I've never seen anyone so pretty especially in our high school"

Hongjoong tense up at his old classmates' words. But Semi didnt show any emotions. She just smile at them and thank them when they praised her, like she never know them.

Eventhough she acted fine, a part of her still hurt but she wanted to forget it and made a new memory she never had before. She wanted to be happy.

"Can I borrow her?", Hongjoong look up to see his friend Mingi smiling at them and he cant say no to it. Semi doesnt hesitate and quickly take his hand before smiling at Hongjoong and giving him a light squish with her free hand. "I'll be back", she whisper. The man was too obvious when he is jealous and Semi can always tell that.

"How are you enjoying the party so far?", Mingi ask her as they walk in hand to hand.

They have booked the special room for their reunion in the nice restaurant Semi had been to before.

"I'd be lying if I say I am not fascinated by it", Semi chuckle and release her hand from Mingi. The other instantly losing the warmth of the girl.

"Do you want the cake? Come on lets get one!", Mingi quickly pull her along and brought her to the desert area, spotting their other friends there.

"Came to get one? I thought you're on a diet!", San laugh at her when she look at him offended.

"Are you telling me I'm fat?", she put her hand in her chest and scoff at him before filling up her plate with a big pieces of the cake.

The three of them chat not too loudly but isnt a whisper either when they heard a screaming in the distance.

They drop their food and all of them ran out to where they heard the voice from. It came from the private toilet and the girls were told to move away but Semi didnt.

"Let me through!", she push pass them even when the big man told her not to.

"Lady, you shouldnt move closer. The sighting is not nice"

Semi didnt care and kneel before the body on the ground and remove the coat which was used to cover his face. The man from before, who was wishing everyone a brighter future was on the floor, a piece of glasses stuck in his neck as blood filled the area.

The girls on the room screamed after witnessing the dead body and hide themselves behind the men's back or chest.

It amaze them when the prettiest girl on the room wasnt fascinated by the body and they questions among themselves.

"Semi is a prosecutor and she's seen things more worst than this", San answered for them as they nod in understanding.

She push pass everyone again and get to her purse she put on the table she sat before with Hongjoong and take out her cellphone.

"There's a murder in Desire Restaurant. Send in a unit"

The party was long gone. Semi sat in between Hongjoong and Mingi, earning a glance from San once in a while. He was more of glaring at the males next to her which doesnt go unnoticed by Semi that she excuse herself in the end.

"You shouldnt play it too obvious San", Semi chuckle and stood next to him. Some of their classmates already went home while some of them stayed to give a statement to the police.

"I d-didnt do anything", he look everywhere but her eyes. His own actions betraying him as he stumble upon his words.

Semi laugh and fold her arms before smirking at him.

"You dont need to be so jealous you know. Hongjoong and I didnt get back together...yet"
