Chapter 21

The sudden rise of Hala Group shocked everyone. Their income, popularity and name in the economy rises rapidly.

"This group is insane. What is more shocking is that eventhough their income rises up too suspiciously, there is no complain of corruption or bad feedbacks by the customers!", Yunho exclaim once the three settle down in the office.

"I also heard they have a young CEO. The ones who is sitting on the chair is just an incharge, nobody knows who is the real owner of the group, not even their workers!", Yeosang chimed in making Semi raised her eyebrows at the two.

"How do you two know all these?", she ask confusely. Rumors and news do travels faster than she expected.

"My friend was told by his friend who was told by his father who was told by his colleague who was told by..."

"Okay okay, we get it!", Semi laugh and hold her hands up motioning him not to continue.

Hala Group sure was the talk of the whole building. Semi gasp when she met one from her old team before she was transferred to be with Yeosang and Yunho.

"Damn little Semi! We haven't seen each other in forever. How are you?"

"I'm fine Yoonsik sunbae! How about a dinner tonight? All of us? I'll pay"

"Still no 'oppa' for me? And sure, I will notice the other. I have to rush to the director's room so see you tonight Semi!"

Semi bit her goodbye and laugh at her chaotic old teammate and face front only to come face to face with San.

"Hi Semi!"

Semi's expression turns blank. They haven't met for a week and so many things happened between that.

"Where were you?" was the first thing that came out of her mouth. San stopped smiling in an instant and return the serious gaze.

"Why?"

She roll her eyes and scoff at him before crossing her arms and walking away.

"Hey!", he calls her from behind and ran up to her and keep walking by her side.

"Where were you?", she stop in her track and ask again. She saw San gulping his saliva nervously and knew he was hesitating in answering her.

"I was travelling in behalf of my Father's company", the lie was something which he cant hide and Semi wasn't an idiot either to not catch it.

"Where?", she was pushing it and it was starting to irritate him. His nervous laugh fade away and was replaced with a cold glare, not towards her but at the reality.

"A place you'll never find"

Semi and Hongjoong met up again. She told him everything about her conversation with San and how suspicious she was of him. Hongjoong nod his head agreeing.

"Where is that place that you will never find? Could he hid Wooyoung there?"

Of course their main suspect was him. They have no proof but he was likely to be the one that do something. Semi met Jongho a few days ago after San's dissapearance which is the same time as Wooyoung. And Jongho knew nothing about travelling for business acts and plainly said to Semi that San was taking care of something.

San was lying, that was the reason he became their suspect. But the real question lies behind all of their thoughts. Hongjoong bit his lips and look up, sharing an eye contact with Semi as if they were sharing the same thought.

"But why would San kidnapped Wooyoung?"
