"Let's go on a date." Taehyung blurted out.

"What?" I stopped from reading my book.

"You heard me. A date."

I was stopping myself from smiling as I needed more details, "Wh-where?"

"I found a new restaurant and I want to take you there as my date." he explained, "We haven't went out together other than get groceries."

Is this real life?

"Are you sure? You never wanted me-"

"Hey!" he cupped my face, squishing my face and making my lips form into what a fish's lips look like, "That was before, okay? What do you say? Right now."

I blink, "Su-sure."

"Great!" he kissed my lips, "Let's get ready then." he went to my bedroom and picked out an outfit for himself.

Did I mention he literally brought clothes into my house?

I got ready. Wore a dress that boosted my confidence, did my hair and makeup, and basically pampered myself up. Our first proper date. No more hiding. Something I always wanted to happen is happening right at this moment.

"Wooh!" he exclaimed, grabbing my hips and turning me away from the mirror, "Looking hot." he started to leave kisses on my neck.

"Tae..." I breathed out. "We're going to be late!"

Taehyung left one last kiss on my chest and stood back up, "You're right, I guess we have to continue this once we get back home."

He took my hand as we went to his car and he drove us to the restaurant, his other hand resting on my thigh.

These days had been so well for me and I just hope this day would tie it together. There was still guilt in me for ignoring Jimin's text messages and for Hyunri's— ex.

That doesn't matter anymore.

"Reservation for Kim Taehyung." he said to the waiter and he guided us to our table. We both sat down and ordered food and some wine.

"What's your reason for taking me here, Kim Taehyung?" I asked while swirling the wine glass.

Taeyung pouted, "Am I not allowed to take you out? I'm upset!" he made his voice higher— honestly making me cringe.

My face went blank, "Do aegyo again and I'll leave."

Taehyung still continued to act cutely, making cutesy sounds and poses, obviously teasing me. I laugh it off and flicked his forehead to stop the embarrassing act.

"There's something I want to talk to you about." he said.

My heart dropped for some reason. I didn't know what he was going to say but it did not feel right. It was like he was going to leave me again and this was his way of somehow making it better.

I got ready.

"Th-that is?" I gulped.

"Be my girlfriend?"

"You're joking?" I was taken aback.

"I'm not the type to joke about this." he pushed his hair back, "I may have been a dick to you, but I realized my feelings for you."

he added, "And I know about you and Jimin, if you like him then go ahead. Still, I hope you know I'll be waiting for an official answer from you. Yes or no— I'll wait for you."

I wanted to say yes so badly then memories of Jimin came rushing back to me. The guy who slowly brought light to my life and who comforted me through the hardest times. He was patient despite the fact he may have known about how I would still think of Taehyung. I felt like I had to answer Jimin first before I answer him.

"It's nice to know that you would wait. I'm not ready to answer you right now."

"It's fine, let's just enjoy our time together." he reassured me.
