xiv. he was different

I found myself wearing his newly bought hoodie with his scent on it and with that I have seen a significant difference between him and Taehyung.

Jimin has much a lighter, citrusy scent while Taehyung smelt like woody, musky smell. They both smelt good, but I did not know what I would prefer. Just by their scents, you could tell they were different.

Taehyung had this mysterious aura around him, he may be goofy when you both are alone, but then he is not the type to tell you what he did yesterday. He keeps himself private, maybe afraid someone would catch on. He barely posts on social media, only posting when it was someone's birthday or was a special occasion, other than that he would just appear on other people's posts.

Jimin on the other hand was the social butterfly. He was the type of person who you'll be able to feel comfortable with even if you guys did not know each other. He'd host parties, make new friends every second, and it'd be easy to befriend him. Before anything else, he'd put the important people around him first before himself— may not be the healthiest and he gets hurt along the way— but he still does it. Jimin was better in all aspects—

But why do I still lean into the guy that I know I can't have?

I was awoken by a call. Hyunri.

"Hey? Can we meet up? I have something to get off my chest." she said, the hint of sadness can be sensed.

I was still half-asleep, "Huh- oh Hyeri! Yeah-" I yawned, "Where do you want to me-meet up?"

"Just the ice cream shop near your place. Is that alright with you?"

"Mhm...I'll see you." I hummed and we said our goodbyes.

I sat up my bed and stretched, inhaling the morning breeze—mixed with the scent Jimin's perfume. I guess I slept in it. His scent was— comforting.

I got up and got ready and wore something simple. I got out of my apartment and while I was walking to the ice cream shop, I got a message from Jimin.

"Hey! Over here!" Hyunri waved her hands for me to spot her, I waved back and went to where she was. I sat down across from her

"I got you cookie dough ice cream, is that okay?" she gave me the cup.

"I see you got your two both favorite ice creams flavors." I joked.

"I guess I wasn't being to subtle?" she giggled.

I ate the ice cream as we conversed and enjoyed each other company.

"But— hey, what was it you wanted to talk about?" when I asked that, it was obvious that the mood went down.

"Right...about that..." she was hesitant. "It's just that—" she placed her cup of ice cream down and leaned closer to me.

"Do you like Taehyung?"
