Note: lmao

Chilled got about ten feet out the door before he realized that he had no idea where he was going. "Alright. Think Anthony. Where would Minx go?"  She didn't really know anyone else in New York. She hadn't grabbed all of her stuff, or her plane ticket, so the airport was out. Her uncle's house was hours away, so she probably didn't go there. Where else could she be?!

He was starting to panic. His breathing sped up, and his heart was pacing up and down the street. The rain was steadily falling down on him like a waterfall but, unbroken, he started walking. He would search every inch of this city until he found her.

Minx, in the meanwhile, had stormed off in such a rage that she got lost in the city. Not caring, she just kept going, looking down to keep the water out of her eyes. Her elegant dress was completely soaked, and she was chilled (heh) to the bone, but on the inside she was steaming.  "I'm so done with you Chilled." she muttered under her icy breath.

After about an hour, Minx's muscles were screaming at her to sit and rest, She ducked into a wooded area and sat down on an old fountain almost overflowing with rainwater. . A sign nearby read "Central Park".

Even though the fountain wasn't protected from the rain in any way, Minx felt a lot safer and warmer next to it. She took a moment to unwind and let off some steam, and sighed..

"So that's the way you want it Chilled. Guess we aren't meant to be together."

She felt her heart tearing into a million pieces just thinking about it. No. No. No. She couldn't live without him.

Everything that had happened over the week seemed a million years away. The dinner. The department store. The almost-kiss. They all faded into the rain and thunder.

Minx rarely cried. Since her childhood, she could always count the number of times she cried on one hand. But this moment, under the pouring torrent. made that number need two.

Chilled was really starting to worry now. He'd only been walking for half an hour, but the impossibility of his task had started to set in on him. He knew that aimlessly wandering around New York was not going to help, but that wasn't going to stop him.

The rain was so bad now that he couldn't see two feet in front of him. He felt so helpless and -

Even though the rain combined with her bawling made it hard to hear, Minx swore she could just make out some noise in the chaos that was east coast weather. Something loud. A car? Some kind of siren. An ambulance?
