AS THE GROUP started explaining how and when did it all happen, Mal listened to every word and wrote down her notes.

"It all started when we were asked to act in this movie called The Night Stalker. We didn't even audition, and we had this creepy man as a director. He always stares and smiles at us in a creepy way. I didn't want to ever stay alone with him. But, as soon as we finished shooting he took off, and we never saw him again," Pilot explained in fear.

"What? What do you mean you never saw him again how? How can he just leave like that?"Mal questioned, slightly baffled.

"I don't know, I was so scared of him. He always seemed like he's up to something." The other girl continued.

"I once saw him in his trailer reading a book and shaking back and forth like he's.. Cursed or something. I couldn't understand what he was saying, but then he looked my way and he was.."

"He was what ?"

"He gave me the creepiest smile ever." Oakes replied, fear filling his voice as well.

"I promised myself that I would leave but then Finn asked me to stay,"

"No- I begged him to stay. Because I knew him very well, and I wanted to have someone I trusted with me. I was also terrified of that man." Finn replied.

Mal paused for a moment, scribbling down in her notebook, chills running down her spine.

"Why didn't you guys leave? I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but if you all thought that man was scary, why didn't you..-" She asked, her voice shaking.

"We didn't tell each other our thoughts on set, so we practically didn't know, and every one of us thought that it was just them being scared and they were overreacting." Timothee explained.

"I felt like I was alone. Finn had Oakes, and Saorise had Timothee. I didn't know anyone, and I didn't have anyone to talk to." Pilot thought loudly, which was clearly unintentional.

"You're not alone anymore, Pilot. We're here for you," Mal reassured.

She then went quiet for a moment, thinking deeply.

"This guy was probably cursed, and transferred the curse to you all somehow." She then spoke in a soft, trembling tone.

They all looked at each other, horrified yet impressed.

"See? We're getting somewhere. I told you she would be helpful." Finn said. Mal gave them a small smile.

"Okay, but what else? He probably did something to us, yes, but what else?"

"I hate to break it to you guys, but.." She began.

They all waited for the girl to the answer.

"You guys should get away from your families as fast as possible. Being with them could cause them some serious harm, and we don't want that right now."

They all thought for a moment.

"What does that mean? Should we leave our families? Our homes?" Saorise asked. Mal glanced down guiltily.

"I'm so sorry, you guys."

Mal sighed heavily as she apologized, running her fingers through her straight, chocolate brown hair.

"Do you all have a place in mind?" Pilot asked.

They all paused for a moment. Oakes shook his head, and was quickly followed by Finn and Saorise.

"No, I don't know any."

"Me neither."

They all glanced at Timothee as they waited for him to speak. He thought for a long moment, before it hit him.

"I know just the place."
