NAWAL RAN QUICKLY after her daughter, catching her by her wrist.
"Where the fuck do you think you're going ? You can't go out this late! Just go back to sleep."

"No, you don't get it. They're all in danger, I have to warn them-"

"Warn them in the morning ! Why do you have to leave right now ? What will the people think ?!" She yelled loudly, causing everyone to wake up. Someone walked towards them, trying to understand what was going on.

"Your sister wants to get out right now." The mother said to Rajwan. Rajwan furrowed his eyebrows in anger, trying to think of something to say.

"Absolutely not."

"How many times do I have to tell you? You. Are. Not. My dad. You can't tell me what to do. I'm going, and it's final. I'm going to be back as soon as I can."

The girl said finally, and walked out of the house.

Mal arrived at the three-story house, which looked even more scary than usual as she was surrounded by darkness, and dim moonlight.

She reached the front door, and opened it slowly, hearing it creak before her.

"Guys ? Is anybody awake ?" She called out. However, she got no answer.

She walked slowly towards Oakes' room to stay with him a little, and knocked.

Again, no answer.

However, she heard a faint voice from behind the door. A muffled voice that she assumed it was Oakes'.

"Oakes ? Come on, baby, open the door ! I'm here for you." She calmly said.

"M-Mal. M-Mal, come in, p-please.."
She heard the voice again, this time more clearly. It sounded like a voice of someone in pain.

She shook the doorknob furiously, trying to open it. To her dismay, the doorknob was too weak to handle her grib, and it came out in her hand, making the door impossible to open normally.

She groaned in frustration, and back away from the door.

Then she raised her leg in the air, and kicked the door open.

"Oakes ? Baby, what's going on, are you okay ?" She exclaimed, looking around the room frantically.

Until, she was met by a scene that broke her heart.

Oakes was lying on the floor, clutching his stomach. He let out groans of pain, tears streaming down his face.

"Oakes, baby.." She began, walking towards him.
"M-Mal.."

She noticed that he was holding something that was attached to his stomach. Something sparkled in the moonlight, making her curiously kneel to his level.

"Show me, it's okay." She soothed.
He removed his hand slowly, groaning in pain.

Then she saw it, and covered her mouth in shock.

A knife that was stabbed deep in his abdomen.

"O-Oakes..? W-Who did this to you ?"

"I-I.."

"Baby. Baby, stay calm.. I'm going to save you. J-Just-"

He whimpered again.

She took a deep breath, then planted her lips onto his.

"Please be okay, sweetheart. I'm here for you."
