THE GROUP STARED at Mal in pure shock.
"Wait, so she wanted us to finish the song for her..?" Timothée asked.

Mal nodded, closing her eyes for a moment.
"I think it was her who did that to Oakes. I also think it was a warning that, if you don't finish the song fast enough, she'll..-"

"You don't have to continue. We know. We all die." Mal gave them a look of sympathy.

"I.. I'm not sure all of this is true though. Maybe some things are wrong. This is, by far, all I know."

They all agreed, then silence overtook the room.

An uncomfortable one.

"Can you get back now? Mum is worried about you." Luna asked her sister through the phone.

"No! Luna, you don't get it! He's not even awake yet. And I heard the doctors say that he's getting worse. I don't want to lose him.." Mal explained. Luna sighed in sympathy, noticing the girl's broken voice on the other side of the phone.

"Did you at least eat something ?"

"Not yet, but Timothée went to get some food for all of us. I hope he's back very soon. I'm kinda hungry."

"Okay. I'll see you.. Tonight ?" She asked.

"I don't know, but hopefully."

The pair hung up after.

"When is your sister coming, Luna ?" Nawal called out.
"Tonight. I hope." She muttered the last part in a small tone, as she didn't want her mother to worry.

Meanwhile, Pilot and Finn were searching their things for any other clue about the song.
"Is it.. Possible that the song that we used to hear at night is the same song Elvira was trying to finish ?" Finn questioned.

"I mean, clearly." Pilot replied. "But how are we going to finish it when we don't know how to play piano ?"

"I.. I can show my brother the basic notes we heard and he can continue it for us. But we need someone to learn it so they can play it at night, when Elvira's ghost is around."

"I can do it."

"Wha- Mal, are you still on the line ?" Finn asked, reaching for his phone.

"Yeah. You kinda forgot to hang up."

"For how long?"

"For like, ten minutes."

"Oh. My. God." Pilot began, gaping at something Finn didn't notice.

"I know right! I find it rude to hang up when the other person didn't already-"

"No, no. I found it! Is this it ?"

The brunette replied, holding up a CD for her friend to see.

"There's only one way to find out."

"Is this the song you guys have been hearing ?"

"Yes. It gives me chills."
Finn replied.

"It seems easy to finish. Can Nick finish it, and help me practice it ?" Mal asked.

"Yeah, I bet. I'll text him now."

Finn let out his phone, and sent a text to his brother.

Hey, Nick? There's a piano song that we want to finish. Are you in ?

A few minutes later, he got a reply.

Hell yeah.

Mal smirked as soon as she saw the text.

"Okay then, let's do this."
